I loved the play, and realize we need to trade him. I also realize we have NOTHING remotely close to his defense in the minors. And there's no bat that can offset the drop in defense. So...it's a strange situation to be in.

With a reset of payroll, you need to shed that contract. Do it this offseason if you can, or maybe someone desperate comes a calling in July

IMO, Pozo is a very very good catcher

Something that makes me wonder what Helsley is doing is that they foul off his 100 mph pitch and then his 87 mph pitch. Anyone who has stepped knows how hard this can be and yet, teams seem to be doing it a lot.

Could be they are picking up a "tell"

Interesting. Official scorer gives Helsley the win, no save. Guess in his opinion, Matz didn’t pitch well enough to earn the win. Don’t see that scoring decision often.
