Do you wanna laugh your butt off ? Go back on this thread to pages 18 & 19 and read post after post dissing the Cardinals . Boy, oh boy, thank goodness the Cardinals don't have players who 'throw in the towel' . Reading those two pages on this thread , you would have thought the game was over and the team lost and posters wanted to vent. Talk about giving up ! Yikes, it was post after post .

After enduring the horror of 2023-24, every poster here has earned their right to be negative of this team. *Especially in the clutch considering how many games they blew or losses they snatched from the jaws of victory these past 2 seasons.

As soon as Helsley gave up the tying run in the 9th, I knew the Cards would choke in the 9th. Seriously, VSII, Vilade, Pozo? That's the best this org could muster in the 9th? Ugh! I then KNEW the Royals would score their ghost runner because, let's face it, every visiting team scores their ghost runner against us.

Was pleasantly surprised they came back, though. Nice to see Contreras take the affront of Donny being walked to reach him and shove it down their throats.

Final note, I have no clue what to do about KNado. He's killing this team. The only thing keeping his WAR from being negative is his defense. What a pathetic sack of sh*t.

You will not hear back from the poster. Most of these types go back into hiding after the Cardinals win.

As one of those Page 18 guys...yep. Tuesday's game was TOO close to Matheny ball.

Though, I guess to be fair, Matheny ball would've never put up seven runs in the first place. But they sure fought back like Matheny ball.

Its not really fair to hang a negative label on the 2025 team because of the previous years. This team has fought hard all year and come back from being knocked down enough to be supported and not constantly doubted and second guessed in games like these. Those extra innings loses were early in the season before they had their footing.

My only point is they have earned enough respect in 2025 to not be thrown under the bus everytime something goes wrong or they have a few off games.

One bad game where they didnt fight back and their Matheny ball? They had a five run lead disapeer then went down by three all.in the flash of an eye. They are human. I think they were a bit despondent and shell shocked. They have fought hard all year. I think are due one here and there.

Just my opinion.

Agree with you , Bob ! Quite interesting to see that some think that due to past teams that 'posters have earned a right to be negative of the 2025 team' . That's a new one on me ...especially during the game that has not even been completed .

I'd find that acceptable if we were dominant all season long and someone finally landed a punch on us. There's no excuse for despondency.

Gloating over a possible loss then crawl back under their rocks when they rally!

Maybe they should play "Wont Back Down" by Tom Petty after a home win.
