Who would pay for it? The state of MO has made it pretty clear they are not going to finance any new stadiums and voters have agreed. If DeWallet and Co aren't going to foot the bill and the choice is indeed to build a new stadium my guess would be somewhere in Illinois.... assuming they are willing to help pay part of the tab.

Ownership said the next phase of BPV would be announced soon and is expected to feature another high rise apartment building. Throw in the Millennium development adding additional density to the immediate area and it's clear they are not going to move. Why should they? Crime is way down over the last several years and more people are living downtown than ever before. The Blues sell out pretty much every game and the soccer team draws well. Heck, even the football team outdraws all the other teams in the spring league. The Cards apparently have a lot of scuuured fans who live close to a corn field.

They should build a stadium on the east side of the river with the Arch center to the homeplate with a low CF grandstand so the Arch stays in view. Kind of like Kaufman stadium in KC. Could build a pedestrian bridge across the river which would be a cool feature. No it would never happen for many reasons but the asthetic would be really cool.
That stadium design would have batters looking into the sun.
Yes, facing due west BUT think of the $$$ in naming rights when the stadiuim sells the naming right to Sunkist raisins .. with field called
SUNkist Field and Oakley has secondary sponsors with their top of the line sunglasses to keep sun glare to a minimum. lol

Well…..that could hurt concession sales….

but it could be a complex with recognition of cards history surrounding the park…

Instead of an outdated stadium in a war zone they have now,,
lol, you are such a grannie
Disappointing that you have stooped to name calling…

Nevertheless, your attachment and fascination with the city is challenging to understand……..and more than a little troubling..

Crews of the HMS Pinafore:
“What, never?”

Captain: “No, never!”

Crew: “what, never?”

Captain: “Well, hardly ever!”

If IL isn't paying for a new Bears stadium, they most certainly aren't paying for a Cardinals stadium either.
