Why wouldn't he be sold on Thomas?
Thomas was lights out in March/April but if you recall he was pretty invisible in Oct/Nov before he got hurt.
Younghopp's outtake isn't fully consistent with Army's comments, especially on Thomas. Should watch the vid. A significant comment on Thomas was near the end.
Yes i could be wrong. Army said if thomas put together a full season he would be 1st or 2nd team allstar. He also made it known how amazing of a player he is. I did feel that army played both sides of the fence as to not offend anyone.
I also watched armys first and then watched all the others. So his word for word isnt fresh in my mind. What parts did i miss?
Also this is all just my opinion and perception. I acknowledge i could be way off base

I should rephrase. He doesnt seem sold on thomas character and ability to lead. He gave me the impression that future phone calls would be happening. But thomas also gave me that he has a lot of thinking to do still and talks with family. Doesnt say much but it definitely doesnt seem put to bed. Parayko gave me the same feeling. I believe one of them is dealt. Thats just my opinion.
Did you miss the comments on how highly he values Thomas, that he's one of the top centers in the league, and because of how highly they value him the price would be [extremely] high in a trade?

He did say noone values robert thomas in the league as much as he does. And that he is still here for a reason and thats because of trade protection and because the price is so high. I didnt miss it. It was almost 2 hours of interviews i watched simultaneously while my fiance told me about her new pet wolf spider she got from work. So it got drug out with plenty of backtracking to relisten.

Army just wants him to be full steam all year (insert any player's name here). Other than that, he is Thomas' biggest fan.

On that note, there were undertones of Army's frustration with Monty. When signed, he said it's on the players now. Monty was his guy. That tone has changed. It's on HC to get the boys ready from the jump. Monty's seat just got a little warmer. A parting gift from Army.

I didnt think of it that way. Maybe i should listen back. The way i took it was army was all over the place with his future role, how much say he would have. He kept going back and forth with his steen comments too. Army is starting to position himself as a outsider??? Who knows

I really wish they would actually tell us why offseason surgery didnt happen. It could be a number of things. Im just on this conspiracy that he wasnt sure how he would respond to surgery and how much time he would miss. And he knew team canada would be a tough get even without missing time. So he opted to battle through.

We should not be talking about winning meaningless games at this time next year. And who we would draft at 8 versus 11.

Those days are over.
We’ll see.

“Superstar” Robert Thomas needs to lead the boys out the gate then.
Of course he does. Holloway, too. RT's record over the past five seasons is pretty impressive, the Blues would be hard-pressed to replace him and his potential at this juncture.
They all need to come out of the gate with their (donkey) on fire. No excuse to lolly gag until the first of the year.

They'll have a slightly long leash depending on what rookies make the club, but I see Monty's seat getting a little warm if they stumble out of the gate. And I love Monty.
If you are going to light your donkey on fire, Animal Protection Services may want to have a word with you.

I have a confession..

ASOGG is Army's sock puppet. It's obvious, I know.

There. I admitted it, and I feel better.

He was injured in the last pre season game. He began missing games later, but he was not 100% until after the procedure at the Olympic break.
