I don’t like whining about officiating but the Dayton bench should have 100% been given a T when the guy came flying off the bench after the tip in. You could see the assistant coach full well knew it too when he ran out and dragged the dude off the court. It’s not a discretionary call.
Otherwise SLU didn’t play up to capabilities, a huge problem lately and they lost. I thought a month ago they had a deep run in them. Assuming they get in one win will be nice.

Definitely a T should've been called on that.George Zipp wrote: ↑14 Mar 2026 14:39 pm I don’t like whining about officiating but the Dayton bench should have 100% been given a T when the guy came flying off the bench after the tip in. I haven’t seen any post game media yet but I’m wondering if Schertz says anything. He clearly was complaining about it when they were trying to figure out the time left after the tip in.No-Mo-Mo wrote: ↑14 Mar 2026 14:41 pmDefinitely a T should've been called on that.George Zipp wrote: ↑14 Mar 2026 14:39 pm I don’t like whining about officiating but the Dayton bench should have 100% been given a T when the guy came flying off the bench after the tip in. Tough but unsurprising loss. Dayton only shot 34% to SLU's 43% but SLU's 18 turnovers and 23 fouls let them stick around and steal the win at the end. SLU has no one to blame but themselves.
If SLU happens to still get a NCAA invite, it will most likely be one of the 1st four play-in games. Let's face it though, this team will be one and done. Mizzou vs. SLU in the play-in game. Make it happen, NCAA selection committee.

My guess is they get in without the play in situation.
If they are not hitting their 3's they won't be much of a threat.
If they are hitting those bombs, that's a different story.

Re: Hello NIT!
Have to root for VCU to win the A-10 tourney. If Dayton wins and gets the auto bid, I think it gets dicey for the Billikens. Will it be a tough call for the committee between VCU and SLU? SLU won both games in the regular schedule but VCU has been the better team down the stretch. Would be nice to see Avila get a crack at the NCAA in his last season.

I have a bad feeling they don’t get in.
Especially if Dayton wins the automatic bid.
