A report mentioned that Cardinals when finalizing the 26 man roster may want to keep an added player thus putting Noot on the 60 day IL to delay moving someone off the team.
Has anyone else heard that possibility of Noot goong on extended IL ?

PS One note Fermin is out of options so Cardinal would be in position that if he is not put on the 26 hey would be forced to DFA him and they would not want to do that so the thinking is he has a spot on the final 26.
Wouldn’t be a bad thing. The longer he’s out the better, for him and the team. You’re right if you think I’m not a Nootbaar fan.
and yet he is our best outfielder - (drat) our outfield blows!
Mootbaar is not their best outfielder.
Never has been.
Never will be.
well, he is no unicorn ... now make my sandwich girl!
You're correct drex, Mel just hates Noot.

When healthy Noot is easily the best all round OFer on this team and it's not even close.

No way he's behind:

-VSII
-Walker
-Church
-Saggese or Fermin (if they play out there)

Like you said, our OF has blown for years (good job Mo  ) but Noot is the best of the worst.

Does anyone know if he out of the toes-to-chin "iron boot" which has kept him alive for the past several months?
Haha! Boooot!! Yes, I can foresee him going on the IL…every single season.

Haven't heard anything on that . I do know he has that special statonary bike.
He has a special tread mill.
He is a special tread mill.
Always in the same place, never advancing.
How do you know that?
Because that is his established record.
Zero advancement over the past 5 years.
Pacing in place at best - if anything, he is going backwards.
I thought you were talking about his foot surgery recovery.
