To the contrary fans are (upset) off that incompetent idiots have guided this winning proud franchise to the point where a washout and rebuild are necessary. So it’s very odd for a fan to have an opinion that what’s happened here in Stl is something to look forward to. The future is as uncertain as its ever Been in my lifetime. You and others can wish and hope that all these prospects end up performing at the MLB level but that is a very rare occurrence to happen at once. This season will not see winning, next season probably won’t see winning, and if BDW doesn’t spend good luck competing after that.
So casting ignorant dispersions on fans that write negatively about the clusterphuck that occured with the team begs the question….
Did/do you want fans to cheer for this giant clusterphuck???
Sorry bubby. I think you have confused yourself for a fan.

You have my permission to be miserable. Frankly, I take delight in it.
So as a fan….you supported, applauded, cheered the historically poor decisions made by the owner, last POBO, and unqualified manager for at least 6-7 years? You enjoyed their incompetence and felt that no other fan should point out these things?
And you have a general opinion that some CARDS “fans” WANT them to do poorly?
You apparently are as uninformed and ignorant about Cards Fandom as you were about the enormous mess BDW/MO administered.
No. I just think that a fan should have a statutory limit on how long he can be angry with an organization and how many vituperative names he can throw around about that organization. At some point he/she needs to dust themselves off and go find an organization as perfect as (he/she/it) is and root away.

The organization has been up front about its missteps and the effort it is making to rectify them. As a fan I am willing to evaluate those steps and wait to see if their labor bears fruit. There is nothing productive about venting over a previous POBO; and anyone still deliberating over the past seems foolish and needs to come to terms that they no longer qualify as a fan.

It might benefit you to seek professional help on what it is you are really angry about. Your current situation appears unhealthy to me.

And your last paragraph is spot on.
Definitely some emotional issues there!
The narcissist quality is high with your type….you seem to think my logging in here and mixing it up with you goofballs translates to emotional well being?  Do you think having some good natured sparring over a sports topic is directly indicative of psychiatric treatment?? ::crazya::
The OP poster honestly believes that true critical fans HOPE bad things for the players and team…….that type of thinking requires therapy

There will be numerous ways to measure the season, but, I think we'll see a light near the end that will allow greater clarity of purpose and resolve. I really look forward to the numerous steps to be taken this year.
I fully expect a 90+ loss season. I will be watching both the Major and Minor League teams to see the future continue to develop. This will be my way of measuring a successful season for the team.

Thanks. He won't see it. The righteous anger flies in the face of perspective. I'm glad there are folks like you who've learned to manage the disappointment and are open to constructive effort going forward. We can only hope that Chaim and company make more good decisions than bad ones as the Cards attempt to right the ship.
Welcome!
I admit to being a passionate sports fan and while I love the Cards I also am into the other sports.
And yes....I admit to “venting” as others do here as well........but you still have to keep it in perspective.
Still just a game.......and if you allow yourself to “wallow in misery” over a SPORTS TEAM you MAY want to get a grip on reality?
And BTW.....we aren’t OWED anything as Cards fans.
29 other teams have great/passionate fans as well.
That being said....I’m getting psyched for this season!

Suddenly they were good. He trashed on O’Neil said mo was stupid for keeping him he trades him he has a good season with Boston and suddenly mo was stupid for trading him. Just a simple question…..who is relishing in Cards struggles??? Again you yoyos have such disdain for those who wrote about slow agonizing trainwreck
Playing out in front of your eyes for years. Did you want glowing praise for incompetent idiots to drive a once dominant franchise to a bottom feeder state?? You’re happy to be one of lowest payrolls in MLB with apparently the only hope for revival in the very low % ascension of prospects?? This is where you want your beloved Cardinals?? Please let us be the Pirates or Marlins…..  and you mock and throw stones at the future tellers who warned of this??? Blind faith in the last FO brought us here…….you must think always standing behind the temporary “leaders”of an organization is being a fan. A fan shouldn’t be required to follow idiots down a path of destruction…..
So again who is relishing in Cards struggles?? Throw out some handles

This might not be taken well but I like the idea of another season of this type of acquisitions in 2027. Keep the process up and always be developing and acquiring.

Exciting times.
