Let’s see what Baez does. I know what Walker can do or not do. Besides he may be in later. I’m not making much of this first day roster.

Agree to disagree. No one (aside from maybe JJW) is getting more than 2 ABs today. So what difference does it make? A week before OD, maybe, but not now.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 11:09 amNo complaints about the players playing. I understand how ST works.imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 11:05 amAny other managers out there not playing a guy who may or may not even make the OD roster?Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 10:59 amShouldn't have to if we had a manager who had a freaking clue!imyourhuckleberry wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 10:35 am A CT spring trainer game 1 lineup bitchfest. Who would've ever guessed?
My compliant is the ignorant construction of the players he is playing.
I also understand they are just getting some work in, but might as well put guys in spots where they might actually hit. Why not construct a lineup that can be competitive and makes some sense?
Again, I know early ST lineups mean nothing. But Marmol has shown an inability to get them right even in season, and routinely tries to put guys in spots they don't belong (i.e. Winn leading off).
No he won't.ramfandan wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 11:30 amRead where coaches were kicking around having JJ lead off for regular season .. don't put too much into initial ST lineup .. if JJ happens to hitrockondlouie wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 08:48 amAnd make sure M. Proving once again Oli show no growth whatsoever as a Manager.
He needs to show he can hit??
He needs as many reps at the plate and in RF he can get.
Pitiful excuse for a manager.
he will move to lead off sooner rather than later ..Oli and coaches know JJ was leadoff in minors and is comfy there
So not only do we not have a real outfield, but the entire outfield we do have returning from last year is starting the year hurt?Goldfan wrote: ↑21 Feb 2026 08:28 am https://x.com/Cardinals/status/2025200173937234292?s=20
