After a decade plus of scratch and sniff fill ins Moz style, I for one am excited if for nothing else to finally let the kids play free of bloated contracts keeping a player buried in the minors. We will get to see youth and enthusiasm in full force. Players understanding it is put up or shut up time. You want the big contract, then earn it. The amount of people on here that define a teams success by bloated contracts amazes me. Some on here feel that Soto's crazy large deal is a good deal and should be St. Louis style. Either way go Cards.

Yes, sadly. It looks to me like that want to lose on purpose. Why? I guess they have their reasons but I feel it's a slap in the face to the fans.
certainly you are entitled to that opinion…..and it should be respected…

I think the board will miss your input and observations this summer…

Cards fan for over 50 years and I’m more excited about this season than any in recent memory.

They might struggle with the wind, but I don’t think they will struggle with the loses as much. 😆

I was much less excited about last season. Still need to look into how to actually watch games this season.
You buy the $99 package.

Surely the not interested crowd will boycott the stadium and all t v games..??

My guess is that we will see many comments this summer from the fibs who claim to not be interested

False outrage…
Shut up, you effin creep. What’s wrong with you, anyway?

Seeing the implementation of the new strategies will be very interesting…
New strategies??
Just win baby is the only strategy in Pro Sports. And this org is clueless when it comes to that
I guess those 11 championships were aberrations...

Been a fan for 64 years - love baseball, love the Cards. Its a bummer that they don't have 63 championships but I certainly have been entertained over the years!
+1
Huge baseball and Cards fan so bring it on!
Plus they seem to be making changes and I’m always psyched to see if the farm system can produce.
Shoot...they never made the playoffs once in the 70’s and I was always into the next season!

Excellent question.
I sincerely doubt you’ll get an honest answer.
Just ridicule.

This franchise has been subpar since HackGate circa 2016. BDW and Mo let the Golden Goose wither and she died a slow death.

Coincidence, I think not.

Regardless of the wins and losses its doubtful you ever go a season without seeing something new in this game.

With all the strikeouts and the emphasis on HR's the game isn't nearly as interesting as it once was but I still enjoy anticipating something new or unexpected in a new season.

I'm wondering how many of those so hyped over this rebuild with Bloom will sour once the losses start piling up despite the fact they are saying they understand this will take time.

Good question. I'm more interested in whether those disaffected fans will still feel obliged to generate vituperative posts nightly if and when the struggles mount. I don't understand the motivation. What value is "I told you so" on an anonymous forum?

My team might not win. Boo hoo.
I watched the World Series. Even though my team wasn’t in it.
Mommy, my team not good. Mommy, what should I do? Mommy, make the Cardinals better.
