Pretty quick with the accusations. Seems to me he was medically cleared, skating well and then he reinjured it, which is not uncommon.
He's had a rough go of it, he and the Blues need him to get and stay healthy. He was a leader on the ice in both production and style of play before the injuries set in. Same thing with Thomas.
100% the Blues medical staff would absolutely not have had him return if he was still hurt. With this type of injury he could have very easily re aggravated it while playing. It doesnt matter one bit have him rest over the break this season is lost anyway who cares. Rest up keep getting stronger come back 1000% next year
Just like they didn’t have Tarasenko return early, twice?
That same medical staff? I know the Orthopedic teams have been swapped out since then, but it seems to be a lingering problem
Highly doubtful. We know what Tarasenko said, but I haven't seen any credible medical opinion that the Blues doctors actually rushed him. On the flip side, the Blues doctors are almost always highly sought after BJC docs who, among others, also treat the Cardinals. They're not starving for professional athlete patient enough to cave to front office pressure to clear a guy. These aren't rookie doctors who teams can pressure.
What possible incentive would they have to rush a guy like Tarasenko back early and damage their professional reputations?
They’re obviously on team payroll.
Team probably gives them a kickback if a guy is healed up before his assumed timeline.
Why do team doctors prescribe additive opioids to pitchers who don’t need them and then proceed to unalive themselves on the stuff?
Doctors aren’t saints. They’re normal people who have vices, issues, and personality differences too.

Blues staff: "Are you good to play?"
Holloway: "Yes!"
<Gets hurt>
Blues forum: "THIS TEAM RUSHES PLAYERS BACK!"
Yeah, because God forbid the trainers and doctors actually give the player some advice. Almost every player will want to come back as soon as possible. This is one of those injuries (along with concussions) that you shouldn’t let a guy come back too early because of the risk of reinjury. On December 15th, they said he would be reevaluated in 6 weeks. He came back and played after 4 1/2 weeks. Doesn’t seem very smart to me.
If you all disagree, great. It’s not a big deal.
+1
Sadly it’s a big deal for those who feel attacked with every criticism of the team and organization.
Oh really?
You people seem to be having a field day for the past 3 weeks.
Every troll on this board certainly has and the "balance" is long gone.

"With a high ankle sprain, I've come to understand that when you come back to playing, there's a scar tissue release that feels like you've injured it again. It stays sore for a couple days. We just want to make sure on our end of things that there wasn't anything that we were missing and right now it's just him being able to get back in a good rhythm."
Your point/post is very good.
The fact that he came back two weeks before the original estimated return raises fair questions for others re whom/how was decision made.
Let's hope it's just as you explained. But right from the start, it's widely recognized these type of sprains require erring on the side of patience.
That's not from me, that's from Jim Montgomery.
Well I still think you have great ideas and posts.
TBH, the Blues should just sit Holloway until after the Olympics. There’s zero upside to rushing him back when he’s not 100%. You’re not gaining anything by throwing him into the lineup hurt — that’s how you make things worse, not better. Plus we want a top 5 pick
