The number one thing is that Mizzou lacks talent and NIL funding. 1-2 chiefs and everybody else are Indians. Need scorers!

Are you nuts - MU is spending $M's for this sheet show.

We’re not that bad. But we don’t have the talent to stay with teams like this. Maybe if everyone were healthy it would be different. But right now this team won’t beat final 4 caliber teams and the Illini are that talented.

Crews reverts to being Crews against good competition. 5 guys guarding Mitchell. After Mitchell and Ant our talent level is ****! Phillips, Northweather, Mack, Porter…all suck. Boateng is a bust. Recruiting is (bleep), coaching is (bleep)! That is all!

How do you propose doing that? Mitchell's game is driving and scoring at the rim. He's never been a great passer. They are letting him penetrate, or letting the ball come to him, and then collapsing the defense on him. He can't score against three guys, two of them 7 footers. Doesn't matter where or how he gets the ball.

Injuries are killing this team. Pierce was projected to be a starter and to provide some, maybe a lot of three point shooting. Porter is out, and he can spread the floor to some extent. Stone is one of their two best shooters from three. They have 1.5 three point shooters (I'm counting Robinson as the .5), and a bunch of guys that can penetrate but can't finish against a collapsing defense. Makes for a simple defensive game plan...stick on Crews, stay close to Robinson, double and triple team Mitchell every time he touches the ball. Nobody else is a scoring threat.

He can learn how to beat good teams from Drink.

Your schtick is old. This staff is clueless on putting together a roster, or coaching one when they get it. At some point reasonable people will hold this staff responsible for this trash Gates trots out on the court. We know why you won’t, but avoiding criticism of Gates because of it …

Our previous AD handcuffed us with nice suit, no brains coach. Clock’s ticking, and I’m not sure his prized recruit will make things any better.

Gates made recruiting errors.
He brought in Porter and he is basically useless.
Gates should have continued to search for overseas players like Stone (Australian).
Get a capable three-point shooter instead of falling in love with Mack the slasher.
Gates should have realized he needed to replace Bates and Grill with decent three-point shooters.
You live and die with the three-point shot in college basketball. Right now, he is stuck with Annor Boeteng, TO and Mack who can't shoot and are just slashers.
Maybe Underwood has the right idea.

Looking like .500 in SEC is just wishful thinking. Another lost season. How many more?

PS: Can MU just be as good as Vandy in FB and MBB? Is that to much!?

How was Boateng a 4*? Virtually no basketball skills. Is this a recruiting problem or a coaching/development problem?

I said Illinois by 15. I didn’t realize that would be the first half. We’ll be lucky to win 2-3 SEC games. Time to reevaluate our coach, I don’t care if he has the #1 class or not.
