You expect Skubal for a minor league deal? Better yet, what kind of minor league signings to you think EVERY team does this time of year? I hope they sign 20 of these guys to minor league deals.

I was told last week first round picks are a sure bet.
Candidate for dumbest post of the day.

I don't care how many they sign as long as I don't have to see them on the major league roster pitching meaningful innings. I'd prefer to see some solid talent instead. You do know why these guys are in the minor leagues, right?

Have to see how the BP arms shake out.
LH
Romero
Shuster
Raquet

RH
O'Brien
Blewett
Svanson
Graceffo
Kent
Pushard
Granillo
Maybe Leary or Pallante also
Yes, probably Leahy and Pallante in the bullpen if all starters are healthy... but they probably won't all be healthy... so Pallante back in rotation.

LH Romero, Raquet
RH Leahy, O'Brien, Svanson, Graceffo, Kent, Pushard

Granillo, Roycroft, Fernandez, Blewett, Shuster in Memphis

However, Bloom says he wants to add a bullpen arm. Gotta have someone to flip at the deadline!

Somebody has to pitch minor league innings. Can’t have all future Cy Young winners in the minors.
So you admit it's low hanging fruit and in it's current state doesn't help the Cardinals at all?
I didn’t say signing a guy to a minor league contract would help the MLB team. I said what I said.

I would rather have Zack Thompson than Raquet. I might even rather have Packy Naughton than Raquet.
