Not sure how Dick Fitts in the starting rotation

See what I did there 8O

Cade Winquest might be better than Fitts. Yankees hadn't made a rule 5 pick in 15:years
Winquest is very good. He is, however, not MLB ready yet. Not sure what Yankees were thinking. I wluld imagine he will be offered back at some point this season.
Will be interesting to see. Not sure how Fitts is MLB ready having tossed so few innings
2026 is the real runway season.

Marmot is NOT the future so extending him prolongs the rebuild...absolutely no reason to extend him, he hasn't earned it.

Does Oli have to be the luckiest little chit alive?? At what other point in Cards history would he ever be an option to manage the St. Louis Cardinals??
A 35 yr old with no experience other than managing a ROOKIE LEAGUE team.

We no longer go after coaches like LaRussa, Francona, or Bochy where they know which players to add to win championships. It’s all up to the GM, ownership, and analytics. Thought that Shildt wanted to bring in more talent for the playoff runs but him and Matheny were the start of what’s to come. Hoping Bloom can get the Cards back on track by 2027. Might have to defer money to keep up.
