I’d love to get Wacha, but not for Donovan.

I love Noah Cameron and Kris Bubic. 2 really really solid lefties.

They also picked up 2 pitchers from San Diego at the Deadline last who I love as well: Ryan Bergert and Stephen Kolek.

In 2025:

Cameron - 7.42 K/9, 2.80 BB/9, 1.17 HR/9, 4.18 FIP
Liberatore - 7.24 K/9, 2.37 BB/9, 1.13 HR/9, 4.03 FIP

And Cameron is actually 3 months older than Liberatore.

It depends in part on whether the other team really wants Donovan and Walker, but from a neutral, objective starting point BTV suggests:

Mets

Nolan McLean = +40.9

Cardinals

Donovan = +32.1
Walker = +5.4

MLB.com has McLean at #11 overall with a FV 60 grade. FG has McLean at #12 overall with a FV 55 grade.

Maybe the Cardinals even have to "overpay" a bit by adding Pages (+11.9) or Crooks (+11). Or maybe they get another throw in from the Mets in return Ryan Clifford, AAA OF prospect, +8.3), or Eli Serrano, an OF prospect further away.

McLean would be very much another "Liam Doyle-level" prospect that I'd be trying to get if I were the Cardinals - quality over quantity here.
