1) WC
2) BD
3) Gray
Give Noot, Gorman, and Walker another chance to build value. I would trade Noot and Gorman for sure in the next 12 months.
Keep Nado unless good offer comes.
At this time are zero untouchables on the roster or within the organization.

Arenado, Contreras, and it was Nootbaar, but with his surgery the return will still have to good. If not keep him until he proves he’s healthy again. So, if not Nootbaar, then Gorman. I keep Gray unless the return is “ can’t miss” !

Noot, Gorman and Gray.
Re: Name 3 Cardinal players you want traded …
Can I keep all the players and get a real Manager who is a leader instead?

Trade the slow lefties who don't field well.
If you find a trade for Arenado, then keep Burleson. Burly in LF, Donovan to 3B
Speed and defense matter. It will help the pitching look better.
DH Herrera R
C Pages R, Crooks L
1B Contreras R
2B Wetherholt L, Fermin R
SS Winn R, Saggese R
3B Arenado R (or Donovan L)
LF Donovan L (or Burleson L)
CF Scott L
RF Church L, Torres L --- holding spot for Baez (or the return of Walker)
- 1. Burleson L - has value, trade high for SP or RH OF; no defense or speed; replace with Torres L
- 2. Nootbar L - has value; declining speed, defense, hitting; replace with Church L
- 3. Gorman L - has value; no defense or speed; replace with Fermin R

Firstly that would be dependent on the return. Nootbaar, Arenado and Donovan. Probably the best return would be for Donovan. I could see Noot getting some return but probably gonna have to pay some freight to move Arenado. I still think Arenado is the best player they have at third base, but he's declined so much with the bat that it's not exciting to see him come up. I hope he gets traded somewhere that he has a chance for a ring. Noot and Donny are both injury prone now. Better to move on from them I guess. Bring up Wetherholt and see what he can do.

In your scenario I'd rather have Donovan at 3rd than Gorman for the reasons you state. Gorman is certainly a spare piece. The question being do you trade him at his point of low value or try to keep him around hoping he can have a decent first half. He would have to play all around the infield and some DH time, semi-regular playing time.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2025 10:14 amTough call. I will wait a year and see if the Bloom culture helps Walker.ramfandan wrote: ↑29 Oct 2025 10:09 amYour 3 players to trade, Sikeston Bulldog ?sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑29 Oct 2025 10:05 amThat puts Donovan at third? No team Ace, and Burleson to first. Is that correct.
I don’t like Gorman at third, to error prone, kills pitchers momentum. Unless he goes to first, there is no place. IH has DH covered.
So Gorman is one. Noot. No real place here. Willy. Frees up first.
I keep Gray.
Re: Name 3 Cardinal players you want traded …
Arenado - His time has passed.
Nootbar - I don't see his upside. Even if he starts the season with the team due to the injury, I keep him on this list.
Pages/Crooks - They have excess at C and should get something in return of similar value in a position of need.
I did not put Gorman on the list as he can get more runway in 2026 while they sort out the infield.
I did not put Donovan on the list as I still think he will be in his prime when the team is ready to compete. But, if they are not intending on extending him, I would put him on the list if the return is right.
I did not put Gray on the list as the team severely lacks SP. He is not taking anyone's spot.
I did not put Contreras on the list, but probably should have in place of Pages/Crooks as we have plenty of players who can play 1B.
I did not put Walker on the list as his value is likely zero. They need to give it one more go.
I did not put Pallante on the list, but would trade him if there was any value coming back.
