Is the Brewers season a complete failure if they lose tomorrow?

Many on here say the 2019 Cards season was a complete failure after having been swept in the NLCS. Does the same hold true for the amazing Brewers?

Also, as I've said all year long, wake me up when the Brewers actually win ANYTHING.

What have we seen that resembles success. What are some intangibles we don’t possess.

Milwaukee- power hitting lead off man, usually take long at bats, run well. Pitch good.

Dodgers- steady. Controls the narrative. Good pitching.


Thought- the Dodgers pen is susceptible. The Brewers getting into that pen is paramount. So far, the Dodger starters have gone 17/18 innings played. That’s huge.

That I may never enjoy October baseball again.

Yeah, I'm so sick of hearing on this forum how the Cardinals should model themselves after the Brewers. I say F no! This is the iconic Cardinals. The Brewers are nowheresville. Spend more, but spend smartly, unlike the idiotic Mozeliak. The fans will support smart baseball from the FO to the field.

Of course not. They won their division and defeated one of their arch-rivals in 5 games. They're up against the Los Angeles Deferrals, a team that will hopefully have an asterisk next to their name in 20 years because of the unfair advantage they had over other teams.

That being said, this is why I hate the Brewers. During the regular season, they look like this unbeatable superteam with some secret sauce that no one can figure out. Truth is, they have above-average starting pitching, an above-average hitting lineup, and a no-fear approach on the basepaths with above-average speed. The extra aggression seems to put so much pressure on opponents that most pitchers wilt and end up making a mistake the Crew capitalize on. They've also possessed one other unquantifiable aspect for the last 10 years: they get lucky.

Whether it's the Billy Zane (Cal Hockley) approach of making their own luck by being super aggressive in situations most other teams wouldn't, their whacky *ss stadium, or just plain dumb luck, they have it in spades.

But when you can't get multiple runners on base every inning, and above-average hitters get drowned out against the biggest superstars money can buy, this is the result.

It'd be nice if their friggin' luck would start running out next season. I've seen enough of it.

Haven’t read any responses, but but just as I thought, the Cardinals aren’t anywhere close to the quality of these teams.

Those that think the Cardinals are 2 or 3 players away from contention are delusional.

No, the Cubs were a bigger failure. The Pirates and Rockies are the Biggest fails in the NL.

I don't see 2019 as a failure. We ran into a Nats pitching staff that was loaded and hot and no one was going to beat them. That's why you need to keep your competitive window open and keep coming back to the playoffs year after year and keep trying to get better and more experience in October.
