Bolduc is a good forward. We know that from the very limited time last year (except for the playoffs) where he scored 19 goals. But now he's going to lead the league in goals? You wankers will make up any bull[shirt] to cry about Army.

The flow of prospects pushing for NHL playing time is not going to abate, barring trades. Dvorsky, Stenberg, Lindstein, Pekarcic, Kaskimaki just for starters, Jiricek, Carbonneau, Fischer, Ralph, others . . . AND the Blues still have ALL of their future 1st round picks. Don't get too enamored with the players on the current roster, or any specific prospect, because they may be here today, gone tomorrow. It's a numbers game, players and cap.aslord wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:43 pmIt's only 3 games into the season. Well, I'm not "hot" about it, just confused why folks think he's the next coming of Mike Bossy and we traded him for Bob Stewart. And if it were just a few posts, that would be one thing.aslord wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:43 pmIt's only 3 games into the season. As I've said a number of times, I hope Zach does well. But whether he does or doesn't makes no difference to me. I'll root for the Blues and the players we have, others can focus their energy on players we don't have.

To be fair he was trash before his hip was repaired...Hooking wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:29 pmYou don't even have to go back that far. Jay Bouwmeester was booed and trash talked on this forum and others a ton. Back then the likes of Karlsson were popular because they scored a ton of points. JBo was never that type but was always one of the best defensive D-men in the league. Nobody saw it until the cup run.
I am sure a lot of people who were trash talking will never admit it but JBo was not liked very much until 2019.

He's was struggling when he was hurt, certainly not prior to the hip injury. And fortunately it healed in time for the Cup run.BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:59 pmTo be fair he was trash before his hip was repaired...Hooking wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:29 pmYou don't even have to go back that far. 48-goal pace over the last 30 games for Bolduc....that's over one-third of a season.aslord wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:30 pmThat's a bit of a harsh reaction. Well said, that's just the way it works. At the same time, this "is" a forum to talk about the Blues. But when ya' slow down and think about the big picture you are right.

By the same token then Logan Mailloux is on a 15 goal NHL pace as a 22 year old defenseman so we are good to go right?son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 14:24 pm48-goal pace over the last 30 games for Bolduc....that's over one-third of a season.aslord wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:30 pmThat's a bit of a harsh reaction. Re: 124 NHL Games
I think it's true. We are all hoping that Mailx. turns into the next Petro.or for OP Pronger.
It's also true that Army valued Mailx more then the hockey world and Army valued Bolduc less then the hockey world.
Army isn't good at evaluating talent and that why Army's cult is calling names and making excuses. Where as it's as simple as, 'Army bad.
You don't need to know a players future, to put value on what that player is. Army views his opinion of a player, The value of that player and then offers that price.
Montreal clearly choked on their pancakes when Army threw Out Bolduc. 1 for 1. What's sad is Army probably would of added a second. If Montreal didn't choke.

The leagues history is littered with players who started out the season on a hot streak such as 7 goals in the first 9 games and end the season with 15 goals.son_of_foolsgold wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 13:03 pmHow do you know?SRV1990 wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025 12:44 pmFortunately, they didn't pay a premium to get LM. The league is also littered with players who start off the season struggling to score who then go on to challenge for scoring titles.
Bolduc for all intents and purposes is still a relative unknown, and who knows how his future ends up. Less we forget at one time Jim Campbell had back to back seasons of 22 and 23 goals and Lee Stempniak had a 27 and a 28 goal season.
Logan Mailloux will very likely have an up and down season. He'll look like a world beater in some stretches and like an AHLer in others.
What I'm looking out of him is for him to continue to improve and not get turned around at the blue line, or get beaten easily. If he can limit that, his offense will come around and we'll have ourselves a really solid defenseman.

I believe it was Dennis Chase that fought Shanny concerning Janey’s wife and not Basil.
