Mikkola won a cup with the Rangers?
Mikola began his career with the Blues.
Mikola won a Stanley Cup with Florida.
Mikola signed a LTD with Florida.
Ok but Army let go of him? Or Army traded him to the Rangers? Why did the Rangers let go of him and not resign him? Weird.

Mikola is a young prospect that won a Stanley Cup.
The Blues would be much better right now on defense if Mikola was still a Blue.
Thank Army for Mikola not being here.
GM's are responsible for the talent on the roster.
End of Story.

Whoa, there. Mikkola has filled a void in Florida and has done a real good job, improving each season. He is not top-4 on this Blues team, not from this point forward. Let's not make Niko out to be more than he really is as a player.

Lmao "GM's are responsible for the talent on the roster," isn't even a complete sentence. Much less the end of the story. Unless you don't understand how apostrophes work...

Mikola is currently top4 on florida for many years, only behind Forsling but he wouldn't be top4 on the Blues.
Sure.

He’s so much better defensively than Broberg. Different players. I take him over Faulk all day

I don’t think Mikkola is better than Broberg defensively, but that’s not what the question was. Would you cut Broberg’s minutes to give them to Mikkola?

I agree on Faulk though.

Every player has to play in all 3 zones. Broberg is a better player right now than Mikkola. If that trade is offered today which team takes it and which team turns it down? I think Fla takes it in a heartbeat ... even if it is only for this season. That's just my opinion.

I love Fowler. I wish we had 30 Fowlers. I wish we drafted a young Fowler this year.

That said, Fowler won't be with us when we are Cup-ready, and thinking/pretending that he is a long-term solution is foolish.

Mikola and Broberg would be 2 solid pieces to build upon.

Mikkola is 29. Almost 30 year old, average, middle pair defenseman aren’t typically seen as building blocks.

Is 8 years not enough to build upon?

Look, I don’t really want to explain how age and the passage of time works right now. You could google it though.
