Wow - they are f'ing good!
A 6th grader with decent MLB knowledge could build a playoff team if he had $320M per year coming from a TV deal alone.
Get real....MLB is no longer a serious, competitive sport. But.....the salary cap is coming......
time will tell but there has been some (drat) good competitive baseball this post season!
Doesn't it take the enjoyment out of it just knowing one team has unlimited resources and over $1B deferred into the '40's and the other one is basically on a small market budget? I long ago tired of the David vs Goliath story....except for the original of course. I just can't see it as a real sport until they fix this issue.
nope - doesn't bother me one bit

Sorry...but Bryce Harper is overrated!
He always has been, IMO.
Very good player but I don’t think his productivity has measured up to all the hype and attention.
Agree. Just not consistent enough.
I’m not saying that he isn’t a very good player.
He clearly is and has been.
But....in my opinion he has not lived up to all the hype he has received from day one.
Hasn’t produced what he should in September and the playoffs.
Agree he’s getting paid like he’s the man at 330 million and doesn’t play like it even during the regular season he only scored 100 or more runs once and driven in more than 90 just once with the Phillies
Tough crowd. He has won a MVP with the Phillies. He has had some other seasons that were pretty good. He is on track to the Hall also.

Yep. And by "not consistent enough" I mean that he'll have a great WAR year and then an average one. He's had BWARs of 1.9, 1.2, 2 and 2.6 amongst good and great years. That just doesn't seem to make him a superstar.

Let the Dodgers win it all the next few seasons. Just brush away the upstart Brewers and their efficient investments. They can out-buy anybody.
Let there be clamor for increased revenue sharing. Salary floor and salary cap going into labor negotiations. If anything actually gets done there.
Currently:
I've enjoyed Tommy Edman having an impact on the NLCS. Good for him.

As a owner, POBOy, GM, and manager you would think the competitive part of your personality would get tired of your as* handed to you by Dodgers, Yanks, et al. Simply level the playing field for all teams. Owners & MLB execs know what needs to happen for level playing field, just takes the will to accomplish.

Yep, as much as I can't stand the Dodgers, them winning another WS this season and if they do win this season, F it, might as well hope they win it again next season, and hopefully that will be the self-fulfilling prophecy we need to end this madness.

I hate the Brewers and it's exactly because of what they're doing right now. When there's no pressure in the regular season, they run the bases like madmen, play small ball, and oh yeah, they GET F'n LUCKY! I honestly don't know how they get lucky so often, but it has to have something to do with their aggressiveness.
Even with all of that, though, I honestly don't understand how you could enjoy this as a Dodgers fan. If you've got 4x the payroll of your opponent, at some point you have to look in the mirror and say, you know, this was fun at first, but are we actually the better team, or just the bought team?
Oh well, it's got to end after next season. It's just ludicrous at this point.
