No Ellis, Skinner or Lucic in practice this morning per Korac/JR.
Looks like we got our roster.
Not sure I agree with these roster decisions(IMO Skinner outplayed Kessel and both Stenberg and Dvorsky outplayed Texier).
rather see the kids playing full time in the A than part time up here.. for now anyways.. let's see what it looks like by mid season
Disagree.
There's a perfectly good spot next to Schenn and Neighbours that one of those kids(Stenberg/Dvrosky) could be getting real game rep's in.
That's FAR more valuable than top line AHL minutes(IF they even get that; Alexandrov, Peca, Wagner and Luff are the veteran core in Springfield and they're going to get huge chunks of TOI).
IMO we should have dumped Texier and run Mojo and Sunny off the bench(neither one is an every night player IMO).
As for Skinner; this will be his 7th year in the AHL. Exactly what good is it going to do him to stay there at this point?
OK, brain fog morning. Who is Mojo?
According to rumors, he's the Father of Jobu.
think they're referring to Joseph
Yes, Mojo is Mathieu Joseph.
The same Mathieu Joseph who allegedly brought Jobu into the Blues locker room last year.

No surprise it’s what the organization does. Don’t wanna start the clock on those ELCs too early Not about talent it’s about managing cap space lol.
This will be the first year of Dvorsky and Stenberg’s 3 year ELCs no matter what. Even if they play every single game in the AHL this season. It’ll be Kaskimaki’s 2nd year of his ELC.
Them being waiver exempt (and others not) may have partially played a part in why they were sent down but not anything to do with their contracts starting or not.
A post on HFboards states that Skinner becomes an Unrestricted free agent after this season if he doesn't play 80 NHL games this season. As long as Kessel plays 10 NHL games this season, he will be a Restricted free agent. If true, might be a big factor in the decision.

Correct and that’s a very good point. It’s the Group 6 UFA rule. So definitely could’ve factored into the decision on why they kept Kessel over Skinner - Skinner is almost certain to become a UFA this summer while Kessel will remain a RFA.
That said, injuries happen and we will very likely need Skinner at some point in the season. He just needs to keep his chin up and continue to do well in Springfield and I bet he’ll get his chance.

Right. Even as a UFA, he's not going to be able to command much of anything above league minimum. So, I hope he clears waivers and stays a Blue.

I heard once that someone made the Kessel run in 5 parsecs.

They made a valiant attempt to explain that in “Solo”. They coated it in special effects, but hey…it closed the gap!

Totally OT:
I'll grant that they made an effort.
But if I'm being honest, I haven't been thrilled with anything Star Wars related since the abomination known as the Sequel trilogy(The Mandalorian is good and Rogue One filled a lot of gaps in the backstory but everything else has been borderline garbage).
Lucas never should have sold the franchise to Disney. They just don't have any story writing capabilities anymore(Disney would have been better off using the original Star Wars EU as their template).
Returning to the topic of the Blues; I'm still convinced that Army is secretly a Sith Lord.

Lucas brought us jar jar binks and those 3 awful movies. I’m not sure anything good comes out under his watch.

We DO NOT speak of The Destroyer of Galaxies(referring to the devil spawn creation of Lucas).
Lucas himself had plenty of great flicks in his early days(Indiana Jones, Star Wars). But you could tell he was in idgaf mode by the time the Sequel's came out.
And they were still better than the garbage Disney dumped on the world.

Yep. But the prequels now look pretty amazing next to the 3 Disney sequels by comparison. The sequels were THAT bad.
But the secret sauce was George’s ex-wife Maria. She helped George shape the plots of the original trilogy and she was also the editor of those 3 films (she won an Oscar for her editing too). She was out of the picture for the prequels and…yeah, we got zany jar jar as a result.
Disney then screwed it up even worse.
Agree with Kimzey that Rogue One and the Mandalorian (for the most part) are good. But the rest are an abomination.
Also…yes, the Blues made cuts and they’ll be submitting their official 23-man roster today lol. Last notice that Krug will be on the roster and that may result in either Snuggy or Mailloux technically not making the team for just today.
