If Yanks lose this series to Boston the fans might drag Boone out and throw him into the Hudson. They hate him way more than cards fans feel about Oli

12xu wrote: 30 Sep 2025 19:12 pm In New York, Yanks led 1-0 with 1 out in the top of 7th, Max Fried pitched 6.1 innings 0 runs on 4 hits but threw 102 pitches. Boone brought in Luke Weaver who promptly allowed a walk, double and 2 run single. Boston now has the 2-1 lead and 2 on with 2 out.
Kevin Cash with Blake Snell in the WS all over again. Pitch counts, smitch counts in the playoffs. Old-school guys like Gibson and Bumgarner would just dirty look the manager back to the dugout or not even daring to venture out of the dugout.

And Boone removes Fried for Luke Freaking Weaver?

Sawx get an insurance run in top of 9th on a single and stolen base by Trevor Story and a two out RBI double by Alex Bregman. Aroldis Chapman will be in to try to save this game for Boston. He will be facing Goldschmidt, Judge, and Bellinger. 8O 8O

Goldy leads off with a single to RF and Judge follows with another single. Bellinger also singles. Bases loaded nobody out!

Stanton strikes out.......now Chisholm steps to the plate, and he flies out to short RF - no advancement - two out. Grisham also strikes out......WOW Chapman has ice water in his veins!

Meanwhile, in LA - Ohtani leads off with a HR vs Hunter Greene.

Greene spitting the bit big time.

Hernandez 3-run HR after 2 walks. Edman solo HR. 5-0.

Teoscar Hernandez crushes a 3 run homer and the next batter Tommy Edman hits a solo job to give the Dodgers a 5-0 lead.

Pretty bad pitch sequence too

2 early count hanging sliders with a guy that throws a hundred

I need San Diego to take the next two.

And I need Pete Scum-Glue Sniffer to have games like what he had today. I despise that guy.

I'll be six feet under before I even consider rooting for the Cubs--ever.

Same. I learned to hate the Cubs from my grandfather when I started following baseball in 1959.
