The MLB might care. Burleson may be selected for the Silver Slugger Award this season as a utility player. And could repeat in '26.
If Burleson gets a Silver Slugger MLB may as well abolish the award. Nothing says slugger like 18 HR, 69 RBI.
Adding a gold glove and silver slugger for utility players was always kind of silly. MLB version of a participation trophy.

I think odds have increased on WC trade. Herrera to catcher? I know that might be the plan but doesn’t mean he can actually play the position. Plus we are deep in reasonable catchers.
