The Los Angeles Dodgers traded Michael Busch and pitcher Yency Almonte to the Chicago Cubs on January 11, 2024, for Minor League prospects Jackson Ferris and Zyhir Hope. The Dodgers traded Busch because there was no clear spot for him on the MLB roster, giving him a chance to play every day with the Cubs, who also added a bullpen arm in Almonte



it remains to be seen how Ferris and Hope do in the future, but the Cubs have to be very happy with that trade at the moment.
