Try to establish a major starting pitching upgrade over 2025. He needs to come up with a couple starting pitchers that "miss bats" frequently.
so you're saying that your Roddery Munoz and Drew Rom predictions were a bit off? What about the Pallante is the RH version of Chris Carpenter?
Do you easily give up on "The Next John Tudor of the rotation; Rom will be the Ace of this rotation for years to come"??

Bloom's to do list:
1. Disinfect all things John Mozeliak.
2. Fix the roster.
3. Decide what to do with Marmol and crew.
4. Convince fans to return.
5. Remember to feed Girsch.
#3 should be fire Marmol and crew. Other than that, you’re spot-on, Juan.
Correct. And you won’t be able to get 4 without doing 3
Exactly! This fan base has “Mozo & Oli Fatigue”. The DeWitts better pay attention and get rid of BOTH, otherwise they’ll lose even more revenue.

1) Reassign Oli
2) Hire a manager from outside the org.
3) Negotiate the waving of NTCs

The team is rebuilding, not get ready to compete in 26. There will be no signing of a top of the line pitcher....in fact, Gray may be traded. They will make trades designed to gather future players who can help in 27 (assuming there is a season in 27) and beyond.
This is the deepest free agent SP pool in years.
DeWitt needs to open his checkbook to get at least one of them. Maybe two. Especially, if some money is saved by trading Gray.

the main task might be finding a way to get 2 million thru the gates - good luck High Em
I actually think attendance may improve next year (not a sure thing).
If Chaim Bloom:
1) Communicates in a more engaging way
2) Lays out a plan that makes sense
3) Takes tangible steps toward that plan
Fans will respond well to all of that, even if the team hasn't fully arrived. Fans in St. Louis WANT to like the team.

#1 task.
Do as I have analyzed.
Melville, please rehash that.
He wanted to dump the light hitting Herrera who he said has no power and make sure the sub .700 ops power hitting Gorman is the middle of the order bat for years to come
Herrera has exceeded expectation - including yours.
He also has 5 weeks of "power" in 4 seasons.
Don't fall victim to Carpenter Syndrome just yet.
Fine to be optimistic.
But not wise to jump too soon to potentially faulty projections.
Assuming a combo of Wetherholt, Donovan, Saggese and/or Gorman at 2B/3B. If Herrera can stick at catcher. Bloom also needs to get a "difference maker" power hitter at either DH or corner outfield. Burleson can fill the other spot.

So to sum up: according to you, all Bloom has to do is 1) get a "young, cost-controlled TOTR starter;" 2) a "young, cost-controlled #2 starter;" 3) a "young, cost-controlled 'difference maker' power hitter;" 4) some bullpen help; and 5) a new manager. Oh, and 6) he has to hypnotize a bunch of vets into waiving their NTCs against their will, and then trade them (and their underwater contracts) for a haul of "fine young prospects." All of which, according to you, any "savvy GM" could do.
Are you going to cover all of this in your meeting with him?

He better share. That’s some groundbreaking, outside the box [shirt] right there!

Carlos Rodriguez is leaving his role as assistant general manager of the Rays in search of a new challenge. Could that be the Cardinals?
Intriguing, but it would seem Cerfolio would have the inside track on the GM job, which would only leave a lateral position open for Rodriguez.
