This is a funny post. Winning the preseason is no ones goal I can guarantee you that.
Our team was trying to put the puck in the net past prospects, not NHL goalies.
Minnesota and Columbus were up against Binnington and Hofer for most of the game.
Do you think that Army was trying to "HIDE SOMETHING" with his goalie starts?

Re: Humming offense
Also with a lot of the Blues’ offense being driven by their D, and so far no Fowler, Parayko or Faulk that probably has an impact as well. Broberg and Mailloux are the only D dressed so far that one would expect to drive offense from the back line this season. And Jiricek had no help yesterday.
Re: Humming offense
This is the preseason. It is about evaluating the players that may make the team now, this year, or in future years. It is not about winning games for any kind of points. Yes, we all feel good when they win. But that isn't the goal to this time of year.
A few scores are not likely to see during the season.
Golden Knights 0 - Sharks 3
Panthers 3 - Predators 5

The scores above reflect the expected and traditional circumstance. The prospects on weak teams are better than the prospects on strong teams. That informs you that the NHL DRAFT IS WORKING AS INTENDED. Prospects is how teams rebound next year!!!dr0zombie wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025 13:31 pm This is the preseason. In the case of the Blues, however, you will not witness this "turnaround". Even though the infamous 2023 re-whatever has recently concluded, our prospects are nothing special. The Blues scoff and spit at the NHL draft because they worship the cash register instead. The upward tick that they care about is profits. To reap the benefits of the NHL draft as intended, you have to approve fewer ticket sales in the current year, AND THE BLUES WILL NEVER DO THAT.
And yes, this is the burr in the ASOGG's saddle.
Cheers.

Welp I made a post late morning and just came back at 5:20 to catch up on this thread and it took me about 30 seconds to go through the thread because I skip any post or quote from the peanut gallery.
It's like speed reading on steroids.
