There is absolutely no excuse for this [nonsense]! None!!! It happens over and over again, time for Oil and staff to take a hike.

There is no repercussions for boneheaded play.

None

And thus it continues....

I have zero inside info on the team but at what point do you hold Manager/Staff accountable for the horrendous base running and lack of basic fundamentals?????

That move by Fermin makes absolutely no sense. Can anyone here play this game?

big brain fart Fermin, then fire hydrant AB by Herrera
we could have had more than 3 runs there for sure

not sure what the Brewer announcers were talking about, but they thought Fermin breaking for the plate was something Oli called.

Gorman stands there instead of chasing down the ball
He doesn't hit well enough to DH all the time

The Cards hitters are proficient in preventing big innings.

The Cards fielders and pitchers are not.

Gorman is horrendous at third and this team is a hot mess. Had Gorman been at third all season there is no doubt in my mind we would be in last place. H

Turned the game off to watch football.
Have the Brewers broadcast anyway.
For those watching Cards broadcast I’d be interested on their take as to WTF Fermin was doing?????

That bonehead move by Fermin had nothing to do with the manager's base running fundamentals. That was due to Fermin not having his head in the game.

He is on the team only due to Winn/Donovan being injured . He is not a major leaguer.

I’ve seen stupid on the diamond before, but I don’t think I’ve seen that level of stupidity. Fermin with the inexplainable baserunning brain fart blows up a big inning. Now, the slug at third can’t catch a line drive hit 12 inches away. Please dfa everyone not named Burlison, Herrera, Winn, or Donovan.

I wonder if Fermin thought the bases were loaded and he was just heading home after the walk. Nothing else makes sense.

I was just going to comment on what a nice inning we had going. We were 3 for 3 with runners on third and less than two outs. We avoided chasing Quintana’s junk and made him work. Put the ball in play…….then we killed what could have been a great inning. What in the hell was Fermin thinking. Nootbaar does a nice job of not chasing and drawing a walk to load the bases with Herrera coming up but Fermin forgets?? how many guys are on base and without reason just breaks for the plate to give Milwaukee the second out. Herrera with two outs and Quintana throwing his 40th pitch takes a fastball right down the middle for the third out. A good inning had the possibilities of a great inning.

Bingo

No growth whatsoever from Oli as a manager.
