You keep posting dumb phukery like this, the real question will be: more valuable to CT…. you or shady?
I am not stunned that you can't see that neither are truly all that valuable...
I see this Cards roster as nothing you keep to build upon.
And I’m not stunned that you can’t read the room. You pose a ridiculous question and you’re getting laughed out of the room.
Yet you double down on your stupidity. The beat goes on.

But, but, but. Scouty is a scout. He should know a good fielding SS is more valuable than a good fielding center fielder.
Winn is a SS, he plays great defense and hits better than VS. He is so good Oli has him hitting cleanup.

Winn is one of the better SS in the NL.
I like the potential of Scott! If he can develop better plate discipline he could be a factor on offense with his speed.
And we all know that SOMEONE clearly doesn’t like Winn! LOL

Winn. VS is a late innings defensive replacement at best.

WAR is not a stat.
It is a silly parlor game.
That said, Winn is the far more important player than Scott.
In addition to Winn having better tools, he is also a smarter player than Scott is.

Winn is about to finish a full MLB season. Great experience both stamina and performance.
Scott has potential. Hasn’t reached it the way Winn is progressing.
Both are part of the biblical up the middle defense, of which we may have the best in baseball depending on who we play at second.

Agreed!
According to baseball savant, Winn leads all NL players in Out Above Average. Curiously, according to the Fielding Bible, he's only got a paltry 3 defensive runs saved. Fielding Bible says Zach Neto is the best SS, but statcast says he's below average. Old-school stats say Neto has had very slightly higher chances and turned more double plays, but has committed 10 errors vs Scott's 3. To me, this shows how unreliable these advanced metrics are.
I think Winn is the best defensive SS in the NL. His offense is average ATM. My only outrage is that he batted 4th last night.
Keep Winn, for sure.

The takeaway is, if Scott blooms like Winn has, we got another keeper. Put me a bat at first, third, and right, then I can live with stellar up the middle defense with a lower than wanted hitting profile.

To clarify, Winn played a full season last year too.

Again, Scott’s lack of offense is mitigated by his good defense, but also the production of the aforementioned bats.

Scott should concern himself with having more value than Church - and possibly Baez - if he wants to remain a Cardinal.

This we can agree on. I like Scott's speed and defense; I also believe Church may have an upside with his offense.

Scott does indeed have the edge with speed on the bases and range in the grass.
But Church has the better arm, the better approach in the box, and is a fundamentally smart player.
Baez is quickly on the rise.
Scott - as well as Walker - may well find themselves as trade candidates.

Scott, Siani, Church, and Antico basically have the same skill set. Great wheels, excellent defense, iffy hit tool. I actually think Antico might be the best hitter of the group, but they don't seem to think much of him.
