Martin and Frank c were a really good show, martin would get frank out of his comfort zone, and frank thrived

doug is great also.

rest on the show, especially the director, are terrible
What is with Tim constantly using Jackson Burkett's full name, and putting so much emphasis on the Burkett part? It's like he's fawning over the guy (who absolutely sucks).

Sorry it’s not your cup of tea, but it’s a popular show that’s been around 20 years. They’ve clearly got a following.
I understand that but the Fast Lane does it in a way that is always entertaining. TMA is the opposite of entertaining. It is juvenile and awful.
It's for the young and uninformed and there's lot more out there than you think.
"Young and uninformed" are more valuable to advertisers than "old and think they're informed." It's a business decision.
Just can't help yourself can you?

You were right you do have issues with it.
Likewise. Young people are not necessarily uninformed.
yes, a lot of them are
Fair. And a lot of older folks think they’re informed simply because of their age.

Doug Vaughn is a co-host and was on KMOV for decades. They know their stuff — if people want to get mad that they don’t spend every second of a four-hour show breaking down last night’s Cardinals game, so be it.

the biggest issue with the show, besides tim thinking hes a poker pro, and a know it all, is the lame emails and texts, that were never funny.

i dont mind dad jokes, 12 year old humor, etc. but dougs poopy pants for the 1 millionth time isnt funny, and wasnt before.

i used to text, and got the stuff with charlie marlow being called corky, from life goes on, started, and about his bradley, akron, insert any mid major school he went to, stories. but then i ran out of juice, and instead of just texting about dougs poopy pants for 10000000000000th time, i bailed. their texters go way beyond beating a dead horse, they vaporize it,

Sports media is so oversaturated that most shows are going to suck. Find the gem.

I guess I'm old-fashioned, expecting to hear about sports on a sports talk station. If that's too hard, they might try actual humor, rather than pretending that every "social media engagement" they get is the most hilarious thing ever.

But to each his own.

frank cusamano and mertin kilkoyne had a great show. talked lots of sports, other things, know a lot of people to get on great guests

and one of all time moments was franks favorite Italian, pitino being outted by waitress, and only being able to last like 12 seconds, the shame he had for rick. lol

Well, humor is subjective, and their target is a younger demographic because that’s more desirable to advertisers. I don’t listen as much as I used to for that very reason.

But I can’t imagine any show that talks only sports for four straight hours being interesting. Again, no NFL team. The Cardinals suck and you can only break that down for so long. Hockey is out of season. No NBA team. No one cares about soccer.

Sports radio generally sucks [shirt]. I had to stop listening a good 15 years, maybe more, ago. While there are a few people out there that I could stand to listen to every now and then, they're very few and far between. Lots of meatheads and people trying to do big takes. That's basically all sports media anywhere now, so I just avoid all of it.

I always gave TMA credit because it was at least different than anything else around here. I mean, it was basically going for a sports themed Howard Stern rip off, but isn't that what most of these morning shows are? I tended to skip the attempts at humor because I just didn't really think that anyone on the show was skilled enough to pull it off. Especially the listeners. I liked when they would talk sports, though. They seemed to be pretty level headed and didn't do a lot of the "take" thing. Always liked the Cat and Doug too.

I basically never listen to any sports talk anymore, but if I have the radio on in the morning for some reason and I catch a bit of it, it's kinda the same [shirt] that they've been doing forever. I would advise them that they should try sticking mostly to sports and stop trying to be funny because they just aren't that funny, but I think they're still pretty popular around the area, so no reason to listen to me.

But yea, at least it's different. That counts for something.

McKernan? Enough said for me. Can’t stand the guy. Heard him a few times on other shows he was on. Kilcoyne okay on TV, didn’t know he was on the radio.

Could not have said it better myself. I could care less what they did with their unimportant previous day or weekend.

I will give them credit for some interviews. But most of their banter is childish and unlistenable.
