Saw this on Twitter from Brant Brown:
“At some point in time, he’s going to have to devote kind of more focus on preparation.”
“This is not only looking at film on the starter, but also being able to come in and the first day of a series, like just take a look at all the bullpen guys…
Just so we’re not like, you know, getting snuck up on when a guy comes in.”
Don't like hearing that.

awesome.... Scott II and
Siani Church in the same lineup.
Crav, not like you to be that way already on Church.
With the current roster, this might be the best defense
to chase the baseballs all over the park that Miles has the ability
to provide.
they're redundant pieces...just like last year...they should never be playing together.
Probably true.
At this point who else goes out there and might as well let them begin the competition
for roster spots for CF and the rest. Not sure Nootbaar can't be replaced by Church yet either.
at this point, you're right...injuries, and they know what they have with Walker...I don't think he needs anymore AB's
I'm just flustered at the fast, LHB that can't hit....I wish Church was RHB....make it easier to stomach.
They did the same at 2B for what seems like a decade.
I feel your frustration. Maybe one will prove to be the better hitter
the other a 5th OFer.

Sad if true.
The kids success was against HS pitching. Low minors pitching. Many can
claim that

Do we really need to be told Walker isn't taking coaching advice? Look at his position in the box.
One might think that his position in the box would allow
him to think it to be impossible to reach the pitches in the LH box,
sadly, not yet.
Frankly, I think he's scared of the inside pitch. They need to wrap him up like a mummy, tie him to a stake, and pelt him with fastballs.

If Walker is not watching video and doing proper preparation, then dont play him. I understand his frustration with previous hitting coaches who he probably feels screwed him up. But that has nothing to do with studying and self preparation.
A real manager would put an end to this nonsense. But alas, we have the ultimate pud with Oliver F. Marmol. That dipsh!t has no clue how to lead.

They're talking about it a lot on the Reddit GDT. But here's today's interview, fast forward to 10:30 for the Walker discussion.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7mlsSm ... annel=KMOX
Bernie also asks about why they're the worst in MLB at hitting fastballs, especially 95mph+ after the Walker talk.
Great discussion.

Terrible at bat by Herrera, 2-0 count, jams himself chasing a pitch off plate, hits into DP.
Made his mind up to swing before pitch after launching one into Big Mac Land yesterday.
This team takes selfish at bats, and there's no accountability
