I wish Kurtz was playing.
me too.
hey Crav
let's say for some reason Kurtz fell a couple of spots and both he and JJ were available, who do the Cards take?
at 7...I don't think there was ever a scenario that both would be available. None of the teams ahead of us in the that draft gave any indications of taking HS kids like Rainier and/or Griffin......hindsight of course says Griffin "SHOULD" have taken Top 2. But that's hindsight.

Draft should've gone JJ, Kurtz, Griffin....in some sort of order.

Of course, 1 year doesn't mean it's over....probably should take 5 or so years to make that sort of declaration....but for now, we only have 1 year of data.

Kurtz and JJ were my two favorites of that draft. I love that we got 1 of them
I know that. this is a what-if question. :)

Kurtz then....I thought he would be available. So I'll stick with him. I thought JJ would go no later than 4th...and KC would be stupid to not take him. For some reason they fell in love with Cags.

the rest of the CTers reading this will probably label me "renegade" or something similar but I'd say Kurtz.
MOTO power hitter.
bonus: lefthanded throwing first baseman. that's a plus. like Bill White and Keith Hernandez

He’s slugging 632. That would lead stl in ops.

Let’s just keep chasing pitches. The second guy in the first two innings that has chased ball four to K. It seems there is no learning curve with this group.

Is the A's lineup image showing for you? I'm not seeing it.
no.

btw, pretty exciting, isn't it, getting Roycroft back.
