That's true. But now that title makes it clear that he is basically the head of everything in the organization (if there was any doubt). You and I are in complete agreement. My point is that I don't see any reason to think that he will be any less motivated or competitive after a title change that takes him into a new challenge of being somewhat of a mentor to Steen while DA continues to over-see basically everything Blues.
Fair enough. But again, he’s always already had that title and clearly been in charge. But agree he almost certainly won’t be any less motivated or involved and I have near zero interest in discussing him possibly leaving for Toronto and I don’t see that as a viable threat. At least not anytime soon. He just reupped here.
Correct he did just reup here and obviously he also just resigned as a GM of his own team that is presently on the up and come.
If he goes to Toronto, he will have to change his mind to do it right in the middle of his present career plan.

You can't say never, but as of today, Army is coming off as a Blues lifer
He's already has been The Dallas Stars GM before his Blues gig. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I heard an interview with Army shortly after the Steen announcement was made. Army was asked if he planned to retire when his contract with the Blues ended (2029 I believe). He said that he had no plans to retire at that point. Only that will be the end of his tenure with the Blues organization. Talked about competitive juices and wanting to stay involved in the game. What exactly "staying involved in the game" means or if he will still feels that way in 4 years, who knows?

I mean he can't say that he will continue on with the team but I would imagine if Stillman wants him to stay he would stay.
