Illinois will be gone. They’ve already canceled some of that series anyway. The KU game next year is in jeopardy as Mizzou needs 3 blood donors. They’ll drop KU and add Lindenwood.

I would think that KU game at their place next year is a non cancel game under a contract?

Geographically, the three closest opponents would be Arkansas (200 miles south of Columbia), Oklahoma (Norman, Oklahoma, lies about 270 miles southwest of Columbia) and Vanderbilt (Nashville lies 360 miles from Columbia).

That would be my vote, all would be an easy road trip for Mizzou fans.

Overall taking away a cupcake and adding an SEC team each year is not favorable for the Mizzou win total, but Mizzou has done a great job with the NIL and transfer portal, many here dislike the transfer portal, but how would Mizzou look this season without a top #10 ranked portal group coming in?

In order to be the best, you gotta beat the best. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Again, all teams in the SEC must play a P4 opponent in addition to the 9 SEC games. So KU cannot be dropped from the schedule.

Missouri will still have to re-arrange their schedule in future years. Next year looks OK but there will be some clashes going forward, starting in 2027 when Illinois comes to Faurot but one of Illinois State, San Diego State, or Florida Atlantic will have to go away. I'm sure there are other schools in the same fix. That looks to me to be an expense the conference or ESPN should pick up.

Probably goodbye, San Diego State. That's a home and home deal. I think Missouri would gladly give up a road game vs. SDSU.

All SEC schools are required to play a P4 team in addition to the 9 SEC games.
I'd like to play Kansas every year, the same way South Carolina plays Clemson and Florida plays Florida State.

The hate is just too pure to skip.
