This whole roster is a joke at this level. And there is another thread I was just reading about who should be starting the next few years with almost the same roster. Which is likely. The St. Louis Pirates.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:26 pm Over 30 MLB players on pace to hit 30 HRs

Burly isn't a 20 HR guy, neither is Noot
Gorman isn't even a 15 HR guy anymore. Neither is Winn, Herrera, Donny, Pages, Pozo etc. Walker and Scott barely hit any. We are 25th in HRs. None of those teams ahead of us in the HR rankings got shutout at Coors.
Willson is the only one with a decent shot to hit 20. And some of y'all want to dump his salary too. Where is the power and RBI hitting going to come from. Its not like the rest of the league doesn't have HR/RBI talent.
Who are the decent young starters. The pitching staff is flat horrendous.Red Bird Classic wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 11:55 amNot a complete overhaul.
Winn is a keeper, we have a couple of decent young starters, some promising catchers, and Donovan is a good guy to have. But we do need to stop talking about 26 and rebuild for the long haul.
If things go well, the Cards might be worth watching in 2027 or 28.
Last two games, Noot or Church on base. Guys with good speed.JDW wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 18:03 pm buuuuut, they sure are ahead of the Cards with team speed and SB's.
Adding Wetherholt and later Baez next year could go a long way to help the Cards close the gap. Maybe Church also to a lesser degree.
Have balanced power up and down the lineup with a good % of them that can force the issue on the bases.tals,
Matthew Liberatore & Michael McGreevy.Braund241 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 19:55 pmWho are the decent young starters. The pitching staff is flat horrendous.Red Bird Classic wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 11:55 amNot a complete overhaul.

LOL...not much gonna help this pitching staff.alw80 wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 08:36 amRight, Busch hurts our bats but our SPs benefit which is why they are all having such great seasons.CCard wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 07:14 amNot to make excuses but they do play at Busch which tends to suppress homeruns somewhat. Plus other ballparks where some of them play that are homerun friendly.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:26 pm Over 30 MLB players on pace to hit 30 HRs

I don't know but you could look it up and post it instead of posting a question.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑21 Aug 2025 08:30 amOur pitchers pitch in the exact same ballpark. Many of the Cards recent HR hitting prospects have been high K guys. Gomez, Garcia, Gorman. I think some of the Cards current MiLB HR hitters are also high K guys. Power plus contact equals success.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑20 Aug 2025 20:26 pm Over 30 MLB players on pace to hit 30 HRs
