Before you get snarky, think about the possible impact these two might actually have made.
I am seriously wondering if you are watching the same mcgreevy?
Mcgreevy has a 4.41 era. His era is worse than league average. While hes better than fedde now, fedde pitched better for first few months. Mcgreevy has given up 4 or more runs in half his starts. Only less than 3 in 3 of 8.

And yet you are acting like hes has been an ace with a 2.00 era.

I think he will improve and develop but i dont think he would have made this team better at all other than a few starts earlier than fedde when fedde melted down.

Its like all you remember is his starts 2 starts ago where he gave up 0 runs and deleted from mind the 6 starts before it.
Say what you want, but McGreevy competes!!
A pitcher's job is to help his team win the day he is on the bump. He has been doing that. He has been finding ways to win and the club wins most of his starts. His job is to WIN not strikeout the most guys or not allow any runs. A sign of a good pitcher is a guy that wins his starts.
Not allow runs absolutely is his job alongside providing innings. Ifnthe team haopens to score more runs when he putches, he absolutely had no control over that. Its silly to suggest otherwise.that stuff evens out with time. Jason Marquis had a high era yet a ton of wins the first half of 2006- until he didnt get so lucky and started getting the losses the 2nd half as his luck evened out.

I could look up win loss records for certain lineups players and it would be just as silly.

Additionally the team has won 5 of his 8 starts. - 5-3, thats just 1 game flipping the other way from being 4-4 ans mirroring the same record as the team overall. Although they did also win his 1 relief appearance

No the teams job is to win. The pitcher can't win on his own (well Babe Ruth might have).
It's the pitchers job to give up fewer runs to the team they are playing than his team scores. His job is to pitch well enough to win that day.

These two might actually have gotten injured, or worn down over the course of 162 game season. Most likely what would have happened is that Major league baseball would have figured out their weaknesses and exploited them. That is usually what happens to minor leagues with holes in their swing or unfinished secondary pitch projects.

The key word in your post is “possible “

Of course, it’s also possible that monkeys fly out of your butt and you join the circus.

Nether one is likely
