Clever. Very good.
Take it on the run, dog.
If that's the way you want it, Brummer.
Then I don’t want you around, Jackie.

I went to a Cardinals game once, vs. the Mets. Someone spit on me. Then my wife got pregnant while we walked home at 3am to our car parked 45 minutes from the stadium because I am not paying to park my own car. A bum threw a burrito at my face and knocked off my glasses, they broke and I couldn't see anything for 3 weeks. There was trash everywhere around me and someone yelled "fat slob" at me but I work out 2-3 days a week and only weigh 275 so I think that was rude, but he had a Memphis Redbirds hat on. Someone took the shoe off of my left foot and sold it on Etsy for $10 dollars. They said it was Nolen Arenado's shoe which it wasn't but I could only bid up to $9. A person threw a chess piece at me and told me to never come back again and cheer on America's Team, the St. Louis Cardinals. Everything has fallen apart. Thank you.

The City police could make the situation better if they patrolled around in speedwagons.

I want to put these up as top comedic dual posts of the year, on CT.

There are a combination of reasons why attendance is down. Number one is the team is simply average at best with no super stars, it's been an exceptionally rainy and very hot summer, it's expensive to go to the games particularly with a family and finally safety around the ballpark is unsafe. Downtown is not safe. When I do go to the ballpark, I pay extra to get closer to the ballpark. I used to park further away , but many of the parking areas are dark unsafe and not patrolled. These areas of concern need to be addressed and resolved or next season will be much like this one or worse.

Being from Kentucky, you should be used to trashy surroundings.

You're free to go back and never return.

Kentucky kid wrote: 20 Aug 2025 11:56 am That sounds good but your telling me the area is safe enough around the stadium that you would send your spouse or kid to go get something in the car yall forgot by their self. There is not enough police or security around the stadium period. That’s the cities fault and ownership for not putting pressure on the city to make it happen.Same thing with all the garbage.
Speak any English? Wow.

Crime is down significantly in St. Louis city in '25, year-over-year. And it was down year-over-year from '23 to '24 - '24 saw the lowest homicide rate since 2013, with overall crime down 15%.

That aside, even at its height when StL was "the murder capital of the WORLD" I never felt unsafe when attending a game, going to a show, or getting a meal anywhere in downtown. Of course, I'm not afraid of my own shadow.

As for filth? Cities are dirty; cities have always been dirty, is that supposed to be news?

Sounds like you addressed the crime concerns by parking closer.

I still have yet to hear reports of the vast numbers of fans being assaulted, raped and murdered before and after games. It's a massive coverup, I tell you.
