Saggesse sucks at fielding

What position will JJ play? This team needs better defense. Saggese isn't great at fielding and at times seems to have mental lapses. Gorman can't play third. He was ok at 2nd. Donovan's best position is probably 2nd and JJ has played a lot at 2nd. If the Cardinals trade Arenado or he decides to retire then we have a huge hole at 3rd. My hope is that JJ can fill that hole but he has played very little at 3rd since his freshman year.

We have too many 2nd basemen and catchers. We need someone who can play 3rd assuming Arenado is traded and we could use some better outfielders. This team needs help with starting pitching as well. Maybe Bloom will trade some of our surplus and fill in some holes.

+1 - too many catchers and 2b.
I think it's kind to say Gorman was "ok at 2b" as he is a career -12 DRS. He's awful there.
Statistically, Donny's best position is 3b (career +7 DRS vs -3 at 2b and +2 in the OF), but that's not much power for a 3b spot.
