Those are all performed by a team within a game to produce a winning outcome…..with the winning outcome being the pursuit of the team and just about every fan I known. A. Oli’s pen had his top 3 guys unavailable due to recent use.
Thus he was limited . B. Miles was rolling along well so if you warm up a guy and Fon’t use him that inning, he maybe I’d toast too. Warming up a guy and then sitting him often doesn’t work to get him up a 2nd time. So Oli may have factored both into his decision to hold off there.
Limited guys plus Miles not being shaky. It was Gorman’s errant throw that messed up the inning not Miles pitching.
