Where Do Suter And Bjugstad Fit In The Lineup?

Re: Where Do Suter And Bjugstad Fit In The Lineup?
My only concern about Suter & Bjugstad is that they're not that good at faceoffs. I hope they can improve on that, important for puck possession.

Re: Where Do Suter And Bjugstad Fit In The Lineup?
On thing they do is give us options, particularly Bjugstad because he’s right handed. Most centers are better trying to win a draw on their backhand in the defensive zone, ie. not drawing it straight back towards their goalie. Let’s say Bjugstad plays on a line with either Suter or Schenn, both of which are lefties. Bjugstad could take the draws where either lefty is weak. In theory, it should improve the faceoff rates for all of them if they’re really only mostly taking draws on their strong side.

In theory, that should be a pretty nasty 3rd line to play against. Should be good on the cycle and be able to hammer the opposition constantly. Not sure they could be a pure shutdown line though as Schenn isn’t very good defensively and Neighbours isn’t either. Don’t have a great feel for Bjugstad’s defensive acumen yet.Harry York 37 wrote: ↑12 Aug 2025 11:19 am Pure speculation from the doldrums-
If Suter fits in as good or better than Schenn on the second line, a third line of Neighbours, Bjugstad, and Schenn would be "difficult" to play against.
That is assuming Sunny takes over at 4C and Bjugstad's back is in decent shape.

Do you guys think Suter is good enough to replace Schenn as 2C?
I dont watch many Nucks games.

Suter could well swap with Schenn at some point but that 2nd line was v good last year so dont see it changing.
I would give Sunny the nod over Bjugstad at 3RW, but again wouldnt be shocked to see them flip.
Dvorsky is #15 forward and will see plenty of NHL games this year.

When they re-acquired Sunny, I liked him playing 40-45 games a year. My thought was if someone had to sit in the press box for 10 games, I’d prefer him over a young guy. That was 3 years ago. I’m hoping that’s his role THIS year. If it is, that’s GOOD news for the Blues because it means younger guys are finally ready to step up.Nublues69 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025 08:04 amI like your lines but I think we need to get the old slow guys off the thrid linebritishblue wrote: ↑13 Aug 2025 15:14 pm Buch Thomas Snuggy

Re: Where Do Suter And Bjugstad Fit In The Lineup?
Dvorsky needs to be in the nhl like he needed to be in ahl last year. He needs to slowly integrate into the third line center over the year. I would like Carboneau to get the 9 game look as well. Just swap them in and out pick the one worth staying. But sunny and the rest have no business on third line.Red7 wrote: ↑14 Aug 2025 09:07 amWhen they re-acquired Sunny, I liked him playing 40-45 games a year.
