I agree that NG should be playing, but it is certainly possible his back is bugging him. They never say anything about these things until a guy goes on the IL. I would love to see Oli gone, but it is possible NG needs a day. Walker.... who knows. Only a month until JJ gets his cup of coffee up here. Finally something to look forward to.

Donnie grounds out to 2nd as much as Nado pops up.. I don't think the dude will be hitting .260 by season end. Might be sitting on 13 home runs if he's lucky. Geez!

He’s the one cardinal who may slump but the slumps don’t last long and he heats back up quickly

gosh...never really think about it...but I think in better times we're beyond 2000, usually well beyond. 1000-1500 posts recently...I think

we were 2K earlier this summer

The Cardinals have a responsibility to do what is best for the Cardinals.

Your Astros lost 416 games in 4 years during their tank and re-build. Is it your assertion the Astros 'played their best guys' every night? Of course they didn't. They did what was best for their organization.
They had no “best guys”…

I can remember when the cards were in a division race…..the other division leader was playing I believe the brewers…..the brewers rested a couple of starters and this very board went ballistic….

The cards have a lot of meaningless games when they can play Gorman and whatever stiff they have….

These games against the dodgers are important …..to the dodgers and padres…it would be nice if the cards respected that…

Average around 200-250 for games in reasonable time zones. You are probably right about tonight; late start exacerbated by a probable blowout.
