I’ve actually have been thinking about this
Stanley Enos Kroenke could redeem himself in his home state…….Rams were never really a Stl team, it was as transplant from LA. Anyone can admit the Dome was a sterile chit hole to watch a game…..so he returns and saves the beloved STL. Cardinals Baseball Team and perhaps the City of STL
Most likely fantasy, but he controls the largest Sports Team conglomerate….so
Stan has lot of irons in the fire related to sports. He is planning and NHL/NBA arena in San Diego. He is planning a new giant Rams practice facility in LA.
If Stan wants to help STL, he should work towards getting an NFL franchise in STL either through expansion or relocation. STL could focus the remainder of the Rams/NFL money toward MAJOR improvements to the dome facility as a place for the team to play. That would redeem him in STL. Let the DeWitts continue to manage the Cardinals and get through this current down period.

Don't think STL has a shot at an NFL team again. I think any expansion goes to a foreign market.

The St. Louis Cardinals will NEVER, EVER be moved.
On this I can even give it a 100% chance of NEVER HAPPENING.
Never say never. Always avoid always. Remember that.
NEVER, EVER ever will the Cardinals leave St. Louis nor would MLB allow one of it's crown jewel franchise to leave what has been dubbed "The best baseball city in America" (although Mo has done his best to e f f that up lately).
With dumb[ash] Rob Manfred as commissioner, anything is possible. History and tradition mean nothing to that weasel. Its all about $$$.
If it’s all about the $$$, and I agree with you that it is, then the value of a city like Nashville is in expansion, not relocation. And if they deem expansion not an option, they aren’t moving from St Louis before they relocate the Florida teams.

This forum is so overdramatic it is not even funny. You think there are conversations about the other 19 teams with poor attendance moving on their sports fourms? Please people, get some common sense. The team has had a rough three years and the sky is falling. This isn't the Rams situation at all or the NFL. This team is the 12th most valuable franchise in the MLB. The Rams were near the bottom when they were here. Winning cures everything, including people's delusional thoughts, but it is going to be a while

Some want to believe the cards could never move….and if believing that makes them feel better….good for them
They moved the dodgers and giants out of New York…..they can certainly move a team from a much smaller market….
Dewitt announces the club is for sale…
Some billionaire from Charlotte places a bid…
Anyone really believe MLB wouldn’t like to be in that market?
Using the Dodgers and giants was a very weak example. They moved because there wasn't MLB anywhere on the west coast. In fact nothing west of st. Louis.
Zero percent chance there is a better market anywhere in the U.S. for the Cardinals. All the better ones are taken. And no, they wouldn't draw more in Charlotte
MLB would NOT trade St. Louis for Charlotte.

The MLB would never allow this to happen. It would be like moving the Cubs out of Chicago or the Yankees out of NY.

You look at the trend with the Ownership groups and they’re mostly multiple mini billionaires or big dog billionaires. Most of BDW net worth is tied up in the value of the Cardinals. Thats not the case with these new ownership groups.
Kroenke Sports is valued around 20bil stand alone…..that’s not including his money and his wife’s Wally World stash.

Please. MLB wants to expand. Do you think they'd rather Charlotte pay an outrageous franchise fee or have the Cardinals move? C'mon.

Manfred has been extremely clear, and on multiple occasions, that MLB does not want the Rays to move out of the Tampa Bay region. The probable new ownership group has also stated they strongly prefer to stay in the area. They are highly likely to "relocate" all of 25 miles from downtown St. Pete to Ybor City (Tampa) or somewhere close to Ybor.

One of the benefits, maybe the only one, of being an Out of Town fan.
I could give a rats patootie if the team was sold and relocated. I simply hope the next owner has longer hands and shorter pockets than the current Skinflints.
If a relocation gives them a better shot of competing with The Big Boys I am All In.
I get to travel to another City that in all likelihood I would have never have gone to.
But I get it, for you homies, it is your Natl Identity. That and The Arch.
Don't need a Drastic Relocation. Simply a move to the equivalent of The Burbs. Centrally located to maximize reach and where no one is concerned about having their car jacked or being held up. Other than by Burgher Bill for tix and acc's.
When Daze doesn’t understand it or get it, we’re all in trouble.
