Wow awesome bloom picking up right where mo left off hiring a rookie manager. When what mo does fails keep trying it and hopefully eventually it will work
Who should be hired then?
Say it.
Who.
Which managers are available? lol people complained about Mo hiring rookie managers now they’re all on board with bloom hiring rookie managers
I never complained about it?
Choose who you finger point at more wisely.
I think Jason would be a hell of ta pick.
Good for you. Bloom will just be continuing what Mo was doing and cards fans can watch yet another manager getting on the job training
Considering it's a long, drawn out rebuild...Does it matter?
I guess not if you’re going to lose might as well lose with someone who’s figuring out how to manage in the majors
I mean, honestly.
How does one become a great manager if no one ever gives them a shot.
At one point Casey Stengel, LaRussa, Herzog and Lasorda were all rookies.

Well it’s worked out so well for the cardinals so far hiring rookie managers. Like I said you’re probably right might as well hire a rookie manager who is going to lose the team a bunch of games getting on the job training since they aren’t trying to win. It will be fun reading all the complaints about him and the games he blows and how stupid bloom is for hiring a rookie manager
I like the idea, and he brings a ton of baseball sense and a history of leadership. I think you have to bring someone in, if Oli is still the manager in 2026 after 3 years of absolute garbage and some baffling on field decisions, I will be disappointed.

It's usually between a rookie or
a retread isn't it?
The designation doesn't matter as much
as the man and the ability to relay the message.
Is a guy who has spent his life in the game. Spent decades in a MLB dugout, played for an around some of
the best managers and players in the game, and was an active part of game planning and executing the game plan really a rookie?

Yes until you’ve managed and are in the dugout having to make moves in the moment you are a rookie. But I guess another plus is he’s an evangelical Christian so i am sure he will probably hold some matheney style prayer sessions for the players
If Oli is fired (hopefully) then the Cardinals will join the Nats, Rockies, Orioles, Angels, and the Braves in looking for a manager.
Potential Candidates for Managerial Changes in 2026:
Skip Schumaker:
A strong candidate for the Braves if Snitker retires or if the Rangers need a new manager in 2026, especially with Bochy's potential retirement.
Walt Weiss:
Also a potential candidate for the Braves' managerial role, particularly if they promote from within.
Ryan Flaherty:
A leading candidate for the Orioles' managerial job if they conduct a search, and he also has ties to the organization.
Miguel Cairo:
Currently serving as the Nationals' interim manager and could earn a long-term role with a strong second half.
Carlos Beltran:
Could be a potential candidate for the Orioles job, particularly if he's still in the mix with the current front office.

What do you mean like who?
What manager should they hire?
Give me a list of all of the managers available
It was a sincere question. Who do you think they should hire? I'd like to see Schumaker hired.

It was a sincere answer also I don’t know what what managers are available but if you said veritek another rookie manager who will have to get on the job training or Schumacker who has managed and won the manager of the year award I would probably go schumaker
