The Cardinals have been shut out in 9 of their last 30 games.

Going for 10 in 31 tonight.

The hitters are not offensive. Wonder if we score a run this time.

Over / Under on how HBPs today. I'll set it at 3.5

Over / Under on how many times WC gets plunked: 1.5

Over / Under on how many ejections: 1.5

Always something to watch in every game.
Both pitchers are dealing tonite. No brush backs. Looks like the Under for all of these.

Alexa was just interviewed during the game. Are you defending the process. It is what it is. May be a perfect game tonight. The roster sucks. I hope you are seriously able to enjoy. Sounds like it makes you a better person than me.

Hoosier59 wrote: 01 Aug 2025 20:31 pm I was thinking about the line ups for the rest of the season, while I was mowing today. In August,
Gorman needs to play 5 out of every 6 games at 3rd base. Winn, Donovan, Scott, Walker, and Contreras can do the same at their positions. Burleson can DH 2/week, play RF when Walker is off, and play 1st base 2/week ( once when Contreras is off, and once when Willson DH’s). Herrera catches for Liberatore, DH’s 2/week, and plays LF 2/week. Nootbaar plays LF except on his day off and when he plays CF when Scott takes his day off. Saggese needs to play for Gorman, Donovan, and Winn once a week, preferably all in back to back games. Pages can catch for Gray, and Mikolas, while Pozo catches for Pallante and McGreevy.
Come September call up Crooks to catch 2, 3/week, and Wetherholt to play the 3 infield spots. If Matthew’s can keep pitching like he did today, maybe take a look at him.
must be a good sized yard ! good thoughts, though maybe just play JJ at 2B to make it easier to focus to start with, and will Herrera really catch any better if he is trying to learn LF at the same time? Might be better to just pick one spot.
Yes, I mow 7+ acres, lots of time to ponder!
My thinking on Herrera was just keeping his bat in there and not Pages’. Other than his throwing, I don’t think his catching is that bad.

Look like they should be playing Jai Alai in Miami.

Not if he finishes poorly.
Keep him. He's a great ballplayer. Gotta have guys like Donnie. The Org has to spend and get some Star Power. There's plenty other dead weight to drop. IMO.

They’ll keep him because they won’t get good offers. I would definite get Mo out of the office before he gives Noot a 5 year extension.
