On the whole, this roster should make each and every Cards fan vomit in their mouth, at least just a little. The OF has been a Ground Hog’s Day of dog poop for a decade. We have 3 catchers and goodness knows how many DHs on the roster. I’m hoping the new guy knows something about baseball and very little about bobbleheads, sweaters tied around the neck and cute little bow ties.

Quite a few #6 type hitters in the lineup for the last couple seasons.

So you judge a person by how they dress? Wow.
Old time expression - “don’t judge a book by its cover”.

It's really sad that the franchise has allowed this Mo-ran to fail...DeTwit is too old to understand is happening and, finally, the fans have sent Johnny Boy the middle finger.

In 2024 he finished with BA .269, 21 HRs, 78 RBIs and a ,735 OPS. It seems he will improve on last season's OBP of .314. He did fade somewhat at the end of last season. It will interesting to see if he does the same in 2025.
lol
Right now through 98 games (110 team games) he has 48 RBI 37 runs and 14 HR.
He’s on pace for (2024):
144 games (152 games)
54 runs (71 runs)
70 RBI (78 RBI)
21 HR (21 HR)
So the pace says “He won’t”.
Look at those runs scored = 2/3rd through the season and he only has 37. Ouch. Slow and doesn't do the things necessary to advance on the paths.
Oh, and then there's the OF defense (-10 DRS career).

Will Shady surpass last season's number of Burly threads?
Sorry if my interest in a player that just might develop into a player that can help the Cardinals win games bothers you.
Your “interest” is an understatement. You still can’t tell he sucks?
