Yesavage could really give the Cardinals' '26 starting rotation a lift. Maybe even this season with the current situation. It will take a nice offer to have a chance at getting him. Could Maton and Gorman get it done?
A nice offer, you say? You just proposed trading Phil Maton’s expiring contract for him. That kind of nice?

Per BTV:

Yesavage: 17.0

Burleson:15.8
Maton: 2.0

Get ‘er done, right Shady???
Interesting. Would Nootbaar and Maton getur' done?
Toronto will demand “the next Tony Gwynn / Joey Votto.”
So Nootbaar wouldn't work in addition to Maton? Is that what you are saying?
Nootbaar is hurt. Toronto is in a pennant race, they need immediate help from a “fabulous” “pure hitter” to boost their “bat-to-ball skills” and lower their K%. They want a guy who can “fricken’ hit,” “right now.” An “Edman-type player with good speed.”

What a masterful Shady historian you are. Rather obsessed, actually. LOL

It’s actually quite easy to remember the things you’ve said for two main reasons: 1) they’re usually extraordinarily dumb; and 2) you repeat them a thousand times.

until I told him that Burleson was LH and weighed closed to 230lbs, and would never be able to play 2B like Tommy Edman (that LH part was the part he didn't catch on to) But he ensured me he was athletic enough b/c he pitched in college

Holy cow, Mable, you had to edit that TWICE? 17 words, and it took you 3 tries to get it right. 8O
