You have a false premise, assuming that spending is linked to metro size. SD is the 18th biggest metro area, behind Tampa, Minneapolis, SF, Seattle, Detroit. Miami is 5th and Phoenix is 10th. In any labor struggle, the labor deserves a fair slice of the revenue. If they have to shut down production to get it they still deserve solidarity from other workers.
So the question is do you feel more solidarity with labor or with bosses, who can absolutely afford to pay them more but choose not to and will gladly let them shut down production to avoid doing so.
It might be better for owners like poor old BDW to shutter Busch and keep his Billions, where would the “Laborers” go? There needs to be parity. The lack of it is what will kill the game.

Who said anything about metro size; I said market size. The Dodgers bring in more revenue than any other team in baseball and they share a lot of it so of course other teams could spend more. All owners can afford to spend. But they don't bc they know they can turn chumps like you against the big spenders instead of their own stingy owners.
