They should honor any employee who’s been with the team in a number of different capacities (including a number of key capacities) over 30 years. Lots of successes over that period of time.
Again, it’s just too bad that the results haven’t been there (because of his questionable decisions) over the past decade or so, and he leaves on such a sour note.

Sure, they can do it in privacy of the upper management by giving him some "low hanging fruit', a dumpster to dive into and a Faberge egg he always thought he had in the minors.

Fine. Do so privately. The percentage of fans who want to honor him is probably in the single digits. Again, it would be yet another tone-deaf decision that doesn’t put the fans first.

Yeah. A large majority of this fanbase wants nothing to do with him anymore and are just counting down the days. It’s not just here on Cardstalk. All over the internet really you’re not going to find many with nice things to say and are just flat out sick of him.

Public honoring would just be an embarrassment. For him. His nice family. BDW. All of them. You’re talking a crowd probably under 10k and most of them would be booing.

Retiring him in private. as has been suggested on this thread makes sense. Referring to another human being as trash doesn’t.

Wait 5 years when he gets his red jacket and perspective. Don't force frustrated and ticked off fans to celebrate the last few years.

Though a Mo bobble head would be funny to have.

He’ll get a red jacket and he deserves one, but I expect it will be a lot longer than five years, especially if the fans have a say. I don’t think they fully grasp the anger.

Complaining about various moves he’s made as well as the decline of the former successful annual playoff team is certainly warranted. But getting personal and calling someone names is incredibly juvenile.
