No……he’s just 23
Kyle Tucker bounced around the Stros minor leagues for three years….he finally figured it out when he was 24
And as another pointed out….a new Stl regime may have better plans for him…

Sounds like a poor organizational decision..
Why am I not surprised?

Not quite yet but he's right on the edge of being dealt.
BUT
I want to see what C. Bloom/R.Cerfolio and their crew can do w/both Walker and N. Gorman.
What if this new leadership group actually fixes those two?
Could happen since we know Mo and his gang of misfits became totally inept.
Give it one more year.
If Walker (and Gorman) don't make improvements, then move on.
They cost nothing, let it play out under Bloom.
Did Mozeliak become inept? Or was he always inept and it was masked by TLR, Pujols, Molina, Wainwright, Holliday, Beltran, Berkman, etc for several seasons?
To be fair Juan he did a solid job his first seven-eight seasons.
Of course Walt left the cupboard loaded and he did indeed lean on TLR/Dunc and that great core.
TLR kept him in line.
After Tony left, the Mo ego kicked in and .................well we know what's happened.

Seems to me the wheels fell off after TLR, Luhnow, and some core players left. Mo couldn't replace them.

Mo didn't want to replace them, he wanted to run the whole show (re: EGO) and only hired "Yes men" like M. Girsh and the Three Stooges he put in the dugout to Manage.

Is it true there were players who told Mo they didn't want Oquendo to replace TLR? Or was it Mo who didn't want Jose?

From what I know players loved him.
No inside info there Juan but it was odd Cheo wanted to stay in Florida, far away from Mo.

Here's the question:
Are you at the point that if they moved on and he got on track somewhere else you'd accept it. Let's say he goes onto Miami and hits .280 with 25 hr and 80 rbi, would you be fine with it. I think Dylan Carlson definitely ended up in that category. If he put up numbers like that I don't think anyone here would give a [shirt].
Carlson was 25 when they traded him. Walker isn't close to 25 yet. We also got zero for Carlson even though he had a lot more career WAR than Walker so far.

I know hindsight is 20/20 but he is only 23 and he could have very well been brought up to the majors too early.

Tucker has crushed his exposure to MLB pitching except for the 28 games when they first trotted him out at age 21.
JW is no Tucker.
Laughable to claim otherwise

Or, stay with me...he's was a great High School big fish in a little pond, but isn't adapting to being a small fish in a gigantic pond.

Might be true, but at this point if they are actually calling him back up today then they are still clueless. And Walker will not breakout until with another organization.

Seems to not take coaching very well either. Stubborn by nature, or just just doesn't trust the Cardinals staff?
