Not a fan of losing Kelly and even less of a fan of things going down this way given his family history with the franchise.
Not particularly a fan of Kerber/Vitale. They spend way too much time discussing things other than the game.
Not a fan of losing Alexa Datt. Especially not in favor of the dweeb Scott Warman.
Absolutely not a fan of getting more Strickland shoved down our throats.

I find it sickening and classless the way the article made this change sound so exciting and “reimagined” when all they’re doing is dumping Kelly and Datt to save money.

Although Kerbs is great - ABSOLUTE INSANITY!!! What CAN Fan Duel afford??? Are they cutting cameras now too???
Re: John Kelly out
Liking people and putting people in their best possible roles are 2 different things.
I like most all of them, even put up with Rivers. That's not to say I want them doing the Blues tv broadcasts.
This is a eff up that will hurt Stillman & Company even if they weren't a part of it.
It's booool sheeet....would love to know the dollar difference as we all pay out the wazoooo to watch sports.
How in the hell did the 101 marginal personalities take over here?
Can't believe this is going down. Eff-U who ever ran this ship into the ground.

Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! Sorry, I had to. I wasn't a huge fan of JK, especially after Panger left. I love Kerbs and Joey, but they need to keep Joey focused. Kerbs and Chaser were incredible, but Joey gets off subject like a hyperactive 5 year old. They really can be entertaining on the radio, but TV is a different animal. I think Kerber will kill it, not sure about Joe. As long as I never have to hear Brandon Kylie ever again. Never. He's bad enough on the talk show.

Speaking for myself, that isn't my problem.stlblue06 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 19:12 pmIt will be an adjustment/learning curve for them but I think everyone will grow to love that duo. It feels like it’s fashionable to dislike Vatelli on here for some reason. I think he brings some needed “looseness” to the broadcast and the chemistry is much better with the new crew vs Kelly/Rivers.Section315 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 18:56 pm Kerbs and Joey are going to have to cut down on the schmaltz aren't they? With radio, you don't know what you are missing out on. On TV, you know if the announcers are slacking.
Make no mistake though, we went from the most unique and best combo in Kelly/Pang just 3 seasons ago to listing both. JK will be missed for sure!
My problem, at least in the games that I've listened to them(mostly pre-season), is that Kerb's/Vitale have a history of getting away from the game. There's typically a 10 minute stretch at some point in the game(usually 2nd period) where it's just Vitale telling a stupid story that has nothing to do with hockey and Kerb's egging him on. And by the time they get back to the subject of the game, it's almost over and you have no real clue what happened on the ice for half the period.
I don't really need any of the "personality injection" stuff. Keep the discussion focused on what's happening with the game.

Barf. No liking this.
First Panger. Now Kelly. Not saying they're hall of famers, but not Bueno. Going in the cheap. Not a good sign.

Re: John Kelly out
Harry Caray got fired, anyone can get fired. I liked John, he calls the action better than the others but again anyone can get fired. Alexa never responded to my commands but she seemed well prepared for her broadcast responsibilities.
Re: John Kelly out
Terrible move. You had one of the best broadcasts in the game a few years ago. I will try and listen to the other team's broadcast.
Horrible across the board. Datt>Warmann, and JK >>>>Kerbs. Listened to Kerbs and Vitale do the preseason game and I had to turn it off with all the grab-(donkey) going on.

Joey is a former non stop talking player in over his head.kimzey59 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 19:23 pmSpeaking for myself, that isn't my problem.stlblue06 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 19:12 pmIt will be an adjustment/learning curve for them but I think everyone will grow to love that duo. If you like his schtick it works....if you don't it sucks.
And Kerbs really isn't a guy for tv imo.
My question is....who's on radio and will it be better?
I can't wait for a stable venue to watch the Blues.

They're going with a simulcast format.
Same broadcast team on both TV and radio.
Re: John Kelly out
The “loss of focus” is an easy thing to fix with them. They are doing a radio broadcast for hockey. Personally it drives me crazy to listen to because hockey is so fast and there is so much to look for. The only big fans listening to them are unable to watch because they are in the car and I guess those that like follow the game in the background.kimzey59 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 19:23 pmSpeaking for myself, that isn't my problem.stlblue06 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2025 19:12 pmIt will be an adjustment/learning curve for them but I think everyone will grow to love that duo. Kerbs has a great tone and goal call. Love hearing him walking through the concourses at Enterpise.

Re: John Kelly out
This is ridiculous. Between John and Dan they have announced the Blues games for 42 of the 58 years they have been in existence. Sad dy.
