It sure does especially with his 6.98 era.

Sandy to the Cubs means the Cardinal FO hopes the Cubs paid premium for a short term rental of a broken pitcher.

Ditto for Sandy to the Brewers

Sandy to the Cardinals means the Cardinals are confident in Alcantra's health, are highly supportive of a surprisingly competitive team, and have decided to just go for a playoff run. So much that they are willing to give up XYZ for Sandy.

The next question is what is XYZ? Who did the Cardinals give up and how long will CT rue that trade? MO's last "gesture" to Cardinal's Fans.

Would you give up Mathew's? Roby? Walker? Saggese? Who?

They want Burleson.

Yep
Actually, he'd fit right on with most other sports sites!

The Cardinals wouldn't trade their current best hitter, Burleson, for Alcantara, right now.

I've done that quite a bit. Always in a hurry. Forcing myself to slow down is always a chore

:D
Takes nothing to do it right. I just had my head up my fourth point of contact.
A-bone sergeant!
Yes that’s true and when I went back to check his history it’s hard to believe that he’s already been gone since 2017!
Hey....no excuses from me. As I recollect we kept our two biggest prospects(Reyes & Flaherty) and proceeded to deal Alcantara AND Gallen.
So much for that! LOL
We need a time machine.

Does what to the NL.

They lost Steele, and need a cost controlled pitch. Sandy has two years. 2.74 era in four June starts.

Many here entertains the idea of him in STL. But, if he goes to Cubs, what next.

This isn’t my idea. Espn article spells it out.

Thoughts.
Fifth June star he gave up 7 runs vs Arizona. If I was a pitcher I'd rather be in the Miami ballpark than Wrigley. This will be interesting to follow. I'm guessing teams want to see another start or two before they make a deal for a decent prospect.
