As was discussed in the offseason, the Cardinals mistake isn't going to have been trading for Fedde. It's going to be not having "sold high" on him last winter if there was interest by other teams in acquiring him.
When's the last time the Cardinals " sold high " ?
Kent Bottenfield
Actually it was probably Brett Wallace.
How bout Zack Cox for Edward Mujica as a deep cut
Shelby Miller for a very good 2015 from Heyward. The '15 rotation will still good enough for a SI cover and 100 wins. Back when they could draft and develop pitching
Not a bad one, although it pales a little since ATL sold him even higher that very next offseason and got Swanson and Inciarte.
Yeah, that was a better sell high since he fell off a cliff in '16 as a starter. I'm happy to see him bounce back as a reliever.

If Mo can find a taker for Mikolas and if he won't waive his NTC, then it's bullpen or DFA.
Fedde, what the heck has happened his last two starts?
Prior to that, previous 9 GS:
2.81 ERA
Is he hiding an injury?
Why hasn't D. Blake fixed whatever has gone wrong?
Hit the video room Erick
Agree on Mikolas Rock.
As for Fedde? He obviously relies on command and it has escaped him the last two starts.
On the plus side... he would only be owed $3.5M roughly after the deadline.
At that price I could see some team(s) being willing to roll the dice on him?
Agreed
Some team will take him for little more than a weak prospect, Mikolas would bring back a bag of balls plus BDWJr will have to eat $$$$.
Still weeks until the deadline and if the Cards have no intention of resigning either at season end they probably get what they can.
If no injuries you have:
Gray
Libby
Pallante
McGreevy
Matz or AAA prospect if both are dealt??

How about Arozarena?

Zero chance Bloom wants Mikolas or Matz, I'd deal them ASAP (or send Mikolas to the pen' if he vetoes, even DFA him).

Absolutely, let's hope Mo does it if he uses that NTC and balks at going to the pen'.

Less than a .0000000000000000000000000001% chance he wants either
